We have a mom that is actively participating in the Mothers Advocacy Project. She is currently in Phase Two of our three-phase trauma intervention program. Mom is working hard to be the best version of herself for her teenage child. Mom is doing her best to provide for her family but recently evicted from her apartment due to a recent job loss. She has been able to secure a new job but has not yet received her first paycheck. We would like to provide mom and her children with a week stay at a motel so she can have safe shelter for her and her children while she works to find permanent housing for the family.

Forsyth County DFCS is currently serving a family with a kinship placement in Roswell (30076). The kinship provider needs help with car repairs in order to be able to transport the child. We are requesting financial assistance to help her obtain the funds she needs beyond her savings to pay for the repairs. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Child is bound to wheelchair and non-verbal and needs visitation with her father and grandmother who live in Norcross. Child is located in Covington. We're trying to see if anyone has a medical transport or a van that can accommodate wheelchair transport to and from this visit. The visit will most likely be 2-4 hours. No specific time, but those details can be ironed out if transportation can be provided.

Two single moms live together with four girls, all under the age of 12. The family recently was able to get a place to live that's safe, but the girls do not have beds. The family needs one toddler bed, with bedding, and three twin beds and bedding. The girls do not have any dressers or storage space. The girls have all their other needs met, but they just want to have their own beds. The four girls currently all sleep on one air mattress and it is uncomfortable. The girls would need to have bedding for the beds. Right now, the family only has throws and blankets. Both moms work and support the girls on their own. The family would also need the mattress for each bed, as they do not have any mattresses for the family.

A former foster youth and single mother of 3 children who is in urgent need of rental assistance. She has faced numerous challenges throughout her life and has worked hard to build stability for herself and her children. Unfortunately, a recent and unexpected injury has left her temporarily unable to work, placing her at immediate risk of eviction. She is now working with a local organization that is helping with employment goals. At the end of this program, she will have a full-time position in the field of her choice that will help the family become more self-sufficient. This support will help her stay housed during this difficult time and avoid further hardship. This assistance would be deeply appreciated.

A devoted father of five who has been struggling since losing his job just days before Christmas 2024 needs desperate financial assistance. A widower since 2022 after losing his wife to cancer, he has been doing his best to care for his household despite immense challenges. Though he secured part time new employment at the end of January, despite his legal immigration status, he had already fallen behind on his high mortgage. The stress of overdue bills, along with providing for his children, took a severe toll on his mental health, leading to multiple hospital stays for anxiety attacks this past month. During these difficult times, his eldest child, a 12th grader bound for college, stepped up to care for the younger siblings. While generous community members helped with groceries and utility bills in January, the single father still faces mounting financial pressure, and we are urgently seeking support to cover for his Scana gas bill while our organization assists with the mortgage to prevent foreclosure proceedings. Any contribution, big or small, will help keep gas on at his home where his 5 children live.
