We’re hoping to rally support for one of our students who was recently diagnosed with diabetes. He requires his blood sugar to be tested every two hours due to ongoing challenges with stabilizing his levels. Unfortunately, the specific test strips he needs are not covered by insurance, and the cost has become a heavy burden for his family.

He has run out of supplies multiple times during the school day, requiring his mom to leave work and rush to the store. We are hoping to help this family stock up on these essential test strips for the summer so that he can stay safe and healthy.

This foster family takes in refugee young men who have been through much trauma. Their new placement (arriving soon), is 17 years old and coming from a locked facility in California for refugees. He and his family fled the Taliban and he is in this country by himself. His caregivers would love to give him a warm welcome with some items such as warm blankets, hygiene products and fun items for his new room!

We are requesting support for a family of seven (two parents and five children) who are currently residing in a family shelter. The father is working to provide for the family and relies on the family’s vehicle to get to and from work. The vehicle is currently in need of maintenance and repairs, and without it, the father will be unable to maintain employment.

This support will directly impact the well-being of the children by helping the family stabilize their income and stay on a path toward permanent housing. Reliable transportation is essential to ensure the family can access work, school, medical appointments, and community resources.

Your assistance in covering the cost of repairs will play a critical role in helping this family move forward and provide much-needed security for the children during this time of transition.

Specific Need: Auto repair or financial assistance for vehicle maintenance: Family is receiving shelter support and working to move toward long-term stability.

This is the couple's first placement. They were thrilled when they discovered their niece needed a loving, caring home. Since they are a kinship placement and not licensed as of yet, they are in need of basic items for age 6-12 months. These include books, toys and teething toys.
