A 17-year-old boy living in a group home is in need of some additional clothing, as he's lost some over different transitions and growth spurts. His sizes are 3x for tops and pants (he'd like hoodies and joggers) and he wears an 11.5 shoe. He likes green and black mostly to wear and does not wear jeans or non-stretchy pants. Anything to help support him as he starts his journey to aging out would be appreciated. He mentioned he can usually find things he likes at Ross.

I’m asking for help in purchasing these shoes for a client at COCMHC Child and Family. This client has been receiving services here since 2017. In December this client had foot surgery. He was walking on his toes, so they extended his tendons and muscles. Client still has braces on both legs. The Ortho suggested that he purchase these shoes to help him walk with his whole foot. Mom does not work and has a limited amount of money to live on each month.

Bio mom obtained new housing and needs assistance with the electric startup fee being paid.

This request is being made to help an adoptive family out. This family has opened their home to their niece who is a little over a year old and are providing for all her cares and needs. The family is concerned that she is about to grow out of her crib and is looking to get a bunk bed for the room because she shares the room with another child in the home. The room is smaller and that is why they are wanting assistance with a bunk bed.

Hello! I am working with parents on a reunification case. Both parents are working hard on their services to help them to correct conditions that lead to their child coming into OKDHS custody. The parents are having difficulty paying their rent. They are currently behind for last month in the estimated amount of $450.00 The total for their rent is $875.00 One parent is working, and the other is actively looking for a job. Helping these parents would help them to get back on their feet until they can both be working full-time and making enough to pay all their bills. We had a family come through Abbott House today that is in dire need of rental assistance. Mom has a full-time job and is a single parent raising 3 children. She makes just a little bit over the minimum amount that would allow her to apply for assistance. Her rent alone is $949 and is due April 1st. She only has a month left on her lease and plans to try to find something more affordable moving forward. We provided her with a thorough list of resources that can potentially help her later on, but due to the rent being due next Tuesday, I do not think that will be enough time to help her right now. She broke down in tears when discussing the stress of this financial toll. I am putting that MAX amount that would be helpful, but she would be grateful for ANY amount of assistance. This mom just called to check in. Her rent is due tomorrow. I know the large amount is probably keeping the request from being met, so I just want to make sure it is understood that any amount helps. It does not have to be the full amount requested. I just want to try to take some of the financial stress off of mom's plate. Thank you!

Family is in need of twin mattress in order for 4 year old to have her own bed in new foster home.

We are currently involved with a mother that is needing to move in to a sober living facility that will allow and support her progress on her Individualized service plan. Not only will the facility help her maintain sobriety, but also, they are able to help her obtain employment, participate in counseling, develop a positive support system, and maintain a connection with her children. Your help with the $700 move-in deposit will allow this parent to advance in her behavior changes to help bring this family back together.

DHS is working with a single mother of three desperately trying to better her circumstances so her children can be reunified with her from a guardianship. The mother has been doing so well in a preventative case with DHS however she recently relapsed after a mental health break due to high demands at work and realizing for the first time she is on her own her own, navigating everything as an adult and doing it sober. She took necessary steps to ensure her children were safe first and out of the home before she relapsed and then she checked herself in to inpatient treatment. Because she is able to ensure her children's safety, this moment in time had little to no impact on her success in the case however she lost her job while inpatient caring for her mental health. She is actively looking for employment now but does not have enough saved to pay from April's rent. Any assistance with April's rent is greatly appreciated. The children have everything they need there when they can return. Having a home was a major part of the Judge's determination on whether the children could return to her or not and losing her apartment would be like starting over for her. Thank you.

A bio mother is in need of financial assistance with getting her license reinstated and getting insurance on her vehicle. This mother has been involved in all services since the beginning of her case, has maintained sobriety, and is working hard towards getting her child back in her care. This mother has unsupervised visitation with her child, but lack of transportation due to not having her license and insurance for her vehicle has been a huge barrier for her getting to see her child more. This mother is trying to find stable housing as well, but her paychecks limit her to what she can afford at one time. If this mother is able to find financial assistance to help with getting her license and insurance, it will alleviate one barrier to her getting to spend more time with her child. This would allow the mother to focus the limited funds she does have on getting stable housing so that she may begin overnight visitation with her child. Any assistance to help this mother would be extremely appreciated.

Hello, we have a biological mother who is working her plan toward trial reunification, and she is in need of an Uber Voucher in order to be able to attend her family time visits and routine testing. The mother has tried multiple resources, and none of them were able to provide assistance with transportation. The mother resides in the next town over and doesn’t have access to reliable transportation for her weekly visits and services. This is a single mother who struggles with mental health and substance abuse and is working very hard to turn her life around and be a safe mother for her children. Any assistance would be much appreciated, and the mother would be more than grateful. Thank you for your consideration.
