Reason for urgency: Remaining balance (amount requested) needs to be paid off by July 2nd so mother can move into her new home.

Single mother and her three children need assistance paying off old bills so they can move into permanent housing. Mother is currently staying at a long-term stay hotel where she has been harrassed and attacked at by other guests. She has been staying there after being kicked out of a shelter that was supposed to help her until she found more permanent housing and was allegedly robbed and manipulated by a service provider who took her money (which following a significant period of time was returned) and many of her items (which still have not been returned). However, Mother's section 8 voucher has been granted and she will be able to move into an apartment by the end of the month, but she needs to pay off her past due bills. This request is for assistance with her Spire Bill. Helping her with these bills will finally let the family have a safe home.

Children's Division is currently working with a family that is need of bedding! single mother of 6 is currently working on relocating on her own thru the help of the state. During our visits it was brought to our attention the air mattress the children were sleeping on have broken. The children have been sleeping on the floor and CD is trying to help the mom get a couple more air mattress, Cots, or even a couple mattress of this family to have better sleeping arrangements. Ages of the children vary and anything to help is much appreciated. Extra pillows, blankets, sheets, all is acceded.

Demolition, paint, cabinets, flooring, and more. It’s not move-in ready, and we can’t do this alone. We need the community’s help to turn this space into a safe, welcoming home for her and her children. This is more than just a renovation. A 15-year-old female and her 1.5-year-old daughter have been placed with a recently single-parent household and is needing the generosity of the community to help assist with an Evergy utility bill. Their home is disconnected and their current voucher being put towards utilities does not cover the entirety of the bill due to the recent single parent being overwhelmed of taking over this on their own. Proof of bill has been sent to the case manager. This family would be incredibly grateful for any amount to help them off, what is deemed by them, this mountain of a utility bill.

I have a family that we are working with. Mom is working hard and doing everything she needs to do. As well as everything we have asked of her. Mom has enrolled back into school to further her education but is only working part time and is needing some assistance with securing her new home for her and her baby girl. Mom has found a new apartment but is needing help with the deposit. This assistance will help relieve this burden off of mom as well as preventing them from becoming homeless.

A mother and her 3 children (2, 3 & 5 years old) are at risk of losing their housing due to ongoing housekeeping concerns. She has been working closely with me to improve the condition of the home, and throughout this process, I learned that she doesn’t have many of the basic items she needs to keep things clean and livable. She has no towels or washcloths for herself or the children, and no cleaning supplies beyond the very basics. This family is in need of towels, washcloths, a mop and bucket, cleaning rags, and floor cleaner. Meeting this need will give her the tools to care for her home, support her in maintaining stable housing, and help create a cleaner, healthier environment for her kids.

A grandmother of two young children recently upgraded their beds from two small beds to a twin bunk bed. However, she now needs a mattress for the bottom bunk of the bunk bed. Please help this hard-working grandma provide for her grandbabies by blessing her with a mattress for this bunk bed.

Hello I am reaching out to request a 5 point car seat for a family that is in need of this item urgently. This placement is absolutely perfect for the children and provide a stable and loving home. The only thing that is really missing is proper car seat so that the child can be safely transported while they stay there. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.

I have a youth that would like to remain in the home of their family member. The family member does have the space to accommodate the youth. The family member has 3 children of their own. A walk-through was completed by the case manager and sleeping space is available. The only concern is the home is not equipped with central AC unit. There are fans that are being used to keep the home cool, but that only works when the temperature is not so hot. The windows are open to circulate as much air as possible. The family is requesting if 1 to 2 window ac units can be provided to help the family. Any support and or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Mom needs help with paying daycare provider. Mom is currently living in a one-bedroom apartment with her two children and another family. Mom works at a restaurant part time and cannot work currently due to being bedside for one of her children. Mom is currently receiving SNAP assistance, but continues to struggle with paying rent at 450.00, and 60 in utilities. Daycare costs are 300.00 a month. Mom has requested immediate assistance for day care, because one of her children is still requiring supervision while she is still at the bedside.
