Good day everyone, I am coming to you all with a request to support a 13 year old boy who we are placing with his grandfather. The youth safely made it to the home two days ago, but is in need of a few essential items. I am placing a list of the items for the youth below. Please assist with this need if you can. The grandfather is ok with meeting up or having items directly delivered to the home. Also the youth may start school near his new placement so any clothing and school supply donations will be accepted and greatly appreciated. This devoted mother of three is doing everything she can to keep her children safe, warm, and off the streets. Currently living in a hotel, she works tirelessly cleaning homes to provide for her family, often prioritizing their needs above her own. Right now, she has enough money to cover only one more night, and after that, she and her children will have nowhere to go. She’s not asking for much—just enough support to bridge the gap and maintain a roof over their heads. With your help, she can secure a few more days of safety and stability while she works to get back on her feet. Every little bit brings her closer to hope and further away from crisis.

Our request stems from the real-life challenges we witness when beginning our journey with a young adult. Often, they face urgent needs upon first being matched with a Mentoring Family, basic necessities that can’t wait. While navigating life, additional hardships may arise.

They can ease the burden on Mentoring Families, meet immediate essentials, and serve as a lifeline for young adults in distress. Sometimes, a simple act of support can make the difference in helping a young person recover from a difficult situation and continue moving forward on their path to independence and thriving.

I’m reaching out to request support with essential items for a newly placed sibling group that has just arrived in my care. This group includes four children:

A 16-year-old girl (plus-size, clothing size 18–20 wide)

A 10-year-old boy (clothing size 14–16 youth or XXL youth)

A 9-year-old girl (clothing size 10–12)

A 6-year-old girl (clothing size 7–8)

As we work to help them settle in and feel safe, I’d greatly appreciate any assistance with the following specific items:

Items Needed:

Bathing suits for all four children (sizes above)

Lotion, shampoo, and conditioner (sensitive skin-friendly, if possible)

Beach toys (buckets, shovels, sand molds, etc.) for play and sensory regulation

The family just relocated here to Georgia and having financial hardship to care for the children. The family is in need of furniture such as sofa, love seat, dinning tables and chairs. Family is not financially able to purchase needed items.

We have a female youth who has graduated from Southwest Magnet High School. The youth will be attending Savannah State University Fall 2025. The foster youth is currently in need of items for her dormitory. The youth is currently in need of purple dormitory decor. The youth is is need of desk lamps, iron/iron board, additional school supplies, 20 amp surge protector, bath towels, bath mat, chest case/ storage bins, laundry bags /basket storage container.
