Hello! We have 2 young boys, 7 and 4, recently placed in kinship with a couple. They are living in a 1 bedroom apartment and are feeling overwhelmed and emotional with the transition with having the boys in their home. They report that they will do anything for the boys but that any assistance is helpful and would assist in preserving placement and help the boys while in their care. They are requesting assistance with the boys for clothing. The older boy is between a size 4 and the younger boy is a 4T/5T. Any assistance is appreciated!

The two children in this family, ages 10 and 8, are currently placed with a kinship family. The youngest child has been struggling with her diet needs and with gaining weight. It was recommended by her doctor to have pediasure everyday but Medicaid does not cover it (not sure why...). The placement is asking for support through either a gift card to Walmart that will cover this cost or a purchase of Pediasure. Thank you!

An uncle and aunt took placement of their niece back in September 2024. Since then, on a weekly basis they are driving every Friday from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs for the child (Female age 5) to have family time with her mother. The past two months we have been able to move family time to Thornton which has decreased the drive but they are still driving over an hour. Aunt and Uncle are also responsible to get the child to preschool, OT, PT, and ST on a weekly/daily basis. They could benefit from a gas card to help off set the amount of money they are spending on gas, clothes, food, etc.

grandmother took unexpected placement of her three grandchildren (Male 15, Female 13, and Female 9) on 04/01/2025. Since then this grandmother has had to purchase new furniture items, clothes and increased amount of food. The children have been through extensive trauma and grandma will be helping transport them to therapy as well as mentorship. Grandma was not financially prepared to take on her three grandchildren but she wants them to stay together and with family. This family could benefit from a gift card to purchase some summer clothes and shoes. If this need is met grandma will have some extra income to ensure the kids are comfortable this summer in clothes that fit them for the warmer weather months.

We are seeking support to help reunify a 17-year-old male youth currently residing in a youth shelter with a stable and supportive family environment. His father has been experiencing homelessness and is currently unable to provide adequate care. A close and trusted family friend has graciously offered to take him in, offering a safe home and much-needed stability. We are requesting assistance to cover the cost of a flight so this young man can be reunited with a caring adult who is ready and willing to support his well-being and future. Your contribution would directly help facilitate this important step toward safety, stability, and a brighter path forward.

The children in the home at 4 and 2-years-old girls. They currently share a bed with their mother and father. Mother asked for resources on getting toddler size beds for them. Caseworker is requesting 2 toddler-size beds, sheets, and bedding.

Hello - DHS is working with a father of a 10 year old girl. This father is asking for help purchasing a laptop so he can search for jobs and housing more effectively. DHS would greatly appreciate any used items that can be donated or a visa gift-card so this can be purchased. Thank you for considering.

A single mother of 2 kids was recently released from a detox program and is currently residing in a sober living home. She is in the process of getting set up with services and treatment providers while getting back on her feet. This mother currently only owns the clothes on her back and is asking for assistance buying some clothes. She is requesting a gift card to Goodwill or the Arc so she can get more clothes. Thank you!

A family needs help with getting diapers/pull ups, wipes, and clothing for their children. The kids are currently staying with a kin placement. There are 6 total children in the house that they are caring for. The youngest is 4 months old and the oldest is three years old with a 1 year old in the middle. They need 3t/4t pull ups and size 2 diapers with wipes. The children do not have any sensitivities but parents choice is preferred. The parents are trying to support the children as much as they can while working on reunification, and supporting themselves while they are out the home. The 4 month old wears size 6 months and up in clothing, the 1 year old wears 2t and the 3 year old wears 4t clothes. The family is working hard to maintain their sobriety, complete their treatment, visit their children, and maintain a safe place to live. Any help is greatly appreciated.

DHS is working with a family who is struggling financially. They are behind on utilities by approximately $1000. They are requesting visa gift cards to help them cover other expenses while they catch up on the utility bill. Anything helps. Thanks!

boy (4), is in need of new clothes for the changing season as he has grown out of his clothes. He is being cared for by his aunt who has been his placement for 2 years. This family would greatly benefit from a Walmart gift card to purchase the child new clothes.
