This devoted great-aunt and primary caregiver to her two great-nieces, ages 12 and 8, and her nephew, age 10. In 2020, Aunt was awarded legal custody of the children after they were removed from their mother's care. Since then, she has provided them with a stable, loving home environment where they feel safe and cared for. Recently, Aunt’s refrigerator ceased functioning, and despite her best efforts to maintain perishable items at a safe temperature, she is struggling to provide the children with well-balanced meals. As a loving, family-oriented individual, she is committed to ensuring they have what they need, but this unexpected challenge has placed additional strain on her resources. We are seeking assistance in obtaining a new refrigerator to support Aunt in her caregiving role. Any help or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. MCCS placed a child with paternal aunt on a safety plan due to father not being able to continue to care for the child @ this time, and mom is not here. Aunt wants to provide the child with his own space and the ability to get rest but has limited income to purchase a bed because of the urgency of the placement. A single mother of 1 child who recenlty lost a major support in there life and had to move back to Ohio with limited supplies and belongings. The family was unable to bring everything with them and could use help in any format related to used furniture, washer, dryer or dressers.

Mother's dryer went out. There is no laundry facility in her apartment complex. She has limited income and could use assistance with replacing her dryer.

Father was recently released from prison and is working to get on his feet. One of his barriers since returning home is transportation and he is struggling to get to and from his appointments. MCCS is requesting assistance with a one month bus pass to help him commute to and from his appointments until he starts his job later in the month. Note: This is a one time request!

A couch is one of those items that help a house really feel like a home. It is a place where everyone can come together and watch a movie, read a book, or talk about their day. When a family doesn't have anywhere to relax together, everyone ends up going to their own beds to sit down and that can make it harder to connect as a family. This single mom living with her adult daughter and her elementary daughter would love a place to sit down as a family. Mom works hard to make sure that everyone's basic needs are met, but that doesn't leave anything extra for a large expense like a couch. Please consider donating your gently used couch to a family in need. Thank you!

We are working with a relative caregiver that is willing to provide care for two teenage boys when she already has five children in her home. There are a total of eight people in the home. Our relative caregiver works and has financial means to provide care but her income is very stretched with the new addition. She doesn't want to see the boys go into a group home so she has stepped up to care for them. Our relative care giver is in need of a bunk bed set for the boys. She's in a four bedroom home but with eight people in the home there's not a lot of space for two separate beds. The bunk bed is her main need but asked if there was a donated dresser for the boys, that would be very helpful as well.

MCCS has also connected this mother to area resource to assist with additional furniture items that may be available.

Recent divorcee with three daughters. Her daughters are growing up fast and are too big for their old beds.
