A local mother of four, a widow, fled to Clearwater from another country due to religious persecution to keep her children safe. She is working, but is struggling to meet her children's needs on one income, with limited work hours. Our church has several people who are meeting with her and are encouraging her, spiritually and emotionally. We'd like to cover rent for one month so she can take care of the kids' back-to-school needs and other miscellaneous bills and needs.

The client is a mother and wife whose family lost their home in a fire a few months ago. Since then, the family has been working hard to rebuild their lives, secure permanent housing, and regain financial stability. Both parents work full-time, often from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or later, which has made it difficult for them to access local food pantries that operate during the same hours.

They are in need of food assistance to help ensure their children have consistent access to nutritious meals during this challenging time. Supporting this family will directly contribute to the health and well-being of the children as their parents continue making every effort to recover. Any support would be deeply appreciated.

A single mother is seeking support in obtaining a bassinet for her newborn, who was born last month. As she is currently on maternity leave, she is experiencing financial hardship and is unable to purchase one. A bassinet will provide a safe and secure sleep environment for the baby, supporting the infant’s health and well-being during this critical stage of development.

It wouldn’t be a Friday in Foster Care if we didn’t have an exceptionally interesting request that we are trying to fulfill as soon as possible. We have one of our families that accepted placement of teenage girls, they have begun sneaking out of the house, and sneaking boys into the house, the foster parents are doing everything they can to preserve the placement and not disrupt, but DCF is adamant that they need to put new safety measures in place so the family is set on trying to secure the placement and has requested some security cameras that will satisfy DCF. We would appreciate any help because we really want to see these girls stay in the home with their current foster family.

Grandmother who has been raising her granddaughter since she was a young child, and was granted permanent guardianship in 2012. Over the years, her health has declined, making it more difficult for her to keep up with the day-to-day responsibilities of caregiving. Despite the challenges, her greatest joy is supporting her granddaughter and ensuring she has the opportunity to thrive. Granddaughter faces some mental health struggles, but one thing that truly brings her joy and helps lift her spirits is playing volleyball. It gives her a sense of purpose, belonging, and happiness. Grandmother enjoys watching her light up when she's on the court reminds her of why she keeps pushing forward, no matter how hard things get. Unfortunately, limited financial resources make it increasingly difficult for the grandmother to afford gas to get her to practices, games, and other activities her granddaughter loves. Grandmother is humbly asking for assistance with gas cards so she can continue to support her granddaughter's passions and give her the stability and encouragement she needs during this critical time in her life.

Single father of three, who has recently obtained full-time custody of his children. He is currently employed and working two jobs, while actively seeking employment that aligns with his degree in Business Management. Due to the increased responsibilities of caring for his children, the father recently had to step away from one of his jobs to be more present at home, resulting in a significant decrease in household income. He is now facing financial hardship and has expressed an urgent need for assistance with household bills. His most pressing concern is his overdue electricity bill, which he has prioritized to ensure stability and safety for his children. He is also behind on his mortgage payments. This request for support is contingent upon the father’s ability to contribute a portion of the utility bill, for which he is actively working to secure funds. Any support toward his utility bill would help this family maintain essential services during a critical time of transition.

Description of Request: Mom is the sole caretaker for her daughter. Mom is struggling to pay for the electric bill due to being unable to work due to medical conditions. Mom could not pay for her June electric bill. If mom could receive $300 for her electric bill, it would ensure that she could keep her daughter and herself in a safe environment for the time being while she saves up for future expenses.

Mother has a full time job but has been hybrid lately due to behaviors of her younger daughter which causes her to leave work and stay home. This requires her to be home with her when things begin to escalate, particularly at school. Due to mother’s change in work hours, she has not been able to pay the family bills and has fallen delinquent on her electric bill. Having the electric kept on will allow the family to stay cool during the summer heat and be able to continue eating cooked meals together as a family. Thanks and God Bless!!

She relies upon financial support from the children's father and is actively looking for a job. Mother does not receive her food stamps until the end of the week and WIC until 7/14/25 but her 10-month-old needs more formula and diapers now. Request: size 4 diapers (huggies), baby formula ($50). We are in need of rent assistance for a mom and two children, 14year old girl and 11 year old boy. Mom is in a very difficult financial situation; working full time but after being displaced due to Hurricane Milton, they have been living in a hotel. Once her hotel space is secured for 1 week, she can begin to focus on a new place for her family. Providing this need will help bring stability for the children. Thank you for sharing hope!

But now that summer has arrived, the tablet has been returned to the school, leaving a significant gap in his ability to communicate. Imagine having so much to say, and no reliable way to express it.

This family is in urgent need of support. They’re hoping to secure a dedicated communication tablet for him to use at home year-round. This isn’t just about equipment—it’s about dignity, connection, and giving a child the chance to thrive.
