I am looking to help a family of five obtain financial assistance to fix their vehicle. The student that attends my school has been experiencing a lot of anxiety about his ability to get to school consistently, as he has had to miss several days due to lack of transportation. When possible, the parents pay third parties (i.e. Lyft or Uber) and this has created further hardship. One parent is in school full time and the other parent has a disability that prevents them from working. The student that attends my school was born with a brain tumor and continues to have frequent medical visits. Helping this family come up with the financial resources to fix their vehicle would help to reduce their stress and the stress of the children that depend on them, while allowing the children to get to school and other necessary appointments.

I have a family at our school who is having trouble making ends meet this month. They are short $250 this month on rent because they had been sick with the flu and had to take unpaid days off from work to care for themselves and their kids. Anything you could provide for this hardworking family with a special needs child would be greatly appreciated!

Good morning Care portal friends, we are seeking your support to help us with a gently use or new double stroller for Mrs. S. and her babies. She is also in need of diapers size 1 and wipes while we connect her with happy bottoms. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you so much for your support and willingness to help our case managers and the families we serve.

Client is a single mother who is working seven days a week to try to pay for the needs of her children and save for maternity leave. The father of her baby declined to help pay for any of the expenses related to the baby or prenatal care. Client needs size M or L maternity clothing - especially black stretchy pants that she can wear as part of her work uniform.

Cass County Prevention is currently working with a mother and her paramour in regard to their rent and other utilities. The rent is overdue at the present time and the family has only been able to pay $500 so far this month. The paramour's next check is only estimated to be around $300, and the mother is attempting to locate employment; however, her application for childcare was denied so this makes it harder. Furthermore, the mother indicated their water was turned off today, April 24th due to the bill being past due. The remaining amount of rent is $700 for this month and in order to get the water turned back on it will cost $234.96. If the rent is not paid by next week, the landlord is talking about not allowing them to stay any longer in the home and terminating their lease. The mother is worried for her children, as she does not want them to be without working utilities in the home, nor to have to uproot them from their current schools.

Patient is a 4-year-old male at Children's Mercy Hospital. This patient had a traumatic birth when he was first born and since then has received multiple challenging medical diagnoses. These diagnoses include neurofibromatosis (tumors in the nervous system), 22Q deletion syndrome (a genetic syndrome that causes cleft palate, immune system disorders, kidney problems, and feeding difficulties), and diagnosed global developmental delay. These diagnoses have made it incredibly difficult for patient's father to keep a job, as he frequently must stay home to take care of his child. Of note, he is a single parent after his partner left him with the baby when she became too overwhelmed to take care of him. Without a job or a second income, dad informed us that he is in danger of his electricity being shut off due to not getting this bill paid, he currently owes $997 to Evergy. He has talked with Evergy and they are willing to put him on a 3 month payment plan if he pays a deposit of $339. He has been applying for part-time jobs but has not had great luck. He is currently in the process of applying for Social Security for his child’s disability but still is unsure how much he will begin receiving. Please help with this patient so his electricity does not get shut off and even more of his medical diagnoses worsen.

This family just moved from Oklahoma to Kc area just within the last few months getting away from toxic relationship. This little family of 4 plus one on the way currently is looking to go from living in there car currently to finding a permanent space for them to live. Mom is currently about 6 months pregnant and looking to get some stability before the baby comes! She is working so hard at her current job to get them into a apartment but could use some help from her community to get her on her feet again! She is looking for some help with the a deposit for a apartment. Thank you for all your help!

This child thrives on consistent routine and is worried if they are not able to continue with this routine for the remainder of the school year it will cause disruption to the child's behavior progress.

Hello, I have a relative placement that needs our help with a dresser, a twin bed frame and an outdoor water activity table. The only requirement for the dresser is to please keep in mind this dresser will be in a bedroom with 4 children under the age of 8. :-) This relative placement is simply amazing and needs our help.
