I have a 41-year-old mother who is the sole provider for her family, which includes her husband (who has medical issues), an adult child currently in college, and a younger child with autism. The family is going through very difficult times. The mother has exhausted all her leave hours from work due to the need to care for her autistic child, adding to the family’s financial and emotional stress.

They live in a small two-bedroom apartment and are doing their best with limited resources. Their couch, which the children alternate sleeping on due to space constraints, is old, broken, and extremely worn. Unfortunately, they cannot afford a new one. They are also in need of basic essentials like laundry detergent.

We are kindly requesting assistance for a couch and laundry supplies. These items would make a meaningful difference in helping the children get proper rest and maintain clean clothing.

This caregiver expresses a variety of needs since taking in two kids (girl age 14 and boy age 11) into their home. They are requesting help with groceries as the monthly bill increased from $400 to $700. They are also asking for assistance with two dressers for the kids as their clothes are being kept on the floor. There is a need for assistance with clothes. The family is requesting gift cards to Goodwill because they cannot give exact clothing sizes for the kids due to clothing sizes varying due to the build of the children. Lastly, the family is asking for assistance with toiletries (shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, and soap).

The grandmother is assuming care, responsibility, and legal custody of her grandchildren. Although the grandmother is employed at a local Leon County school, caring for the grandchildren has put a strain on the grandmother's finances. The grandmother is in need of two twin size mattresses to improve her and the grandchildren's well-being.

The mother is a single parent with three children ages 2, 3, and 8. The children are currently sleeping on "make-shift" items and would really benefit from sleeping in the comfort of their own individual beds. The mother has expressed the importance of them having a bed to sleep in on multiple occasions. I looked at Walmart, and there was a FDW Black Metal Bed Frame Platform Twin Size 14 Inch Heavy Duty Steel for 45.00 each and the mattress was a Zinus 6" Bonnell Innerspring Mattress Firm Feel, Twin-XL 70.00 each.

Client is expectant mother who is currently struggling with financial needs and seeking grocery assistance. Has applied to multiple jobs but yet to hear back from any. Client has faced many obstacles along the way to getting to the point of choosing life for her baby. The desire is to continue to support this mom as she strives to maintain stable housing in preparations for baby. Client has a restraining order against the father of this baby, so she is not receiving any support from him or from local community/family. Cl lives alone, so this request would meet the need for her and her unborn child. I am requesting urgent clothing assistance for a 14-year-old young lady who has recently returned to Leon County and is preparing to begin school in the coming days. Due to a significant change in her weight, none of her current clothing fits her appropriately. As she transitions back into school environment, having suitable and comfortable clothing is essential for her confidence, sense of belonging and overall well-being. She is in need of school-appropriate attire that will allow her to feel comfortable and accepted among her peers. This support will greatly ease her transition and help start this new chapter with dignity and self-esteem every student deserves.
