A family of six, led by a single mother with five children, recently had to evacuate their apartment due to domestic violence, leaving behind all their belongings. The mother is employed full-time and is also pursuing her college education. While they have secured a new apartment, they are currently facing challenges in acquiring furniture. The mother is specifically requesting beds for her children. Additionally, the family is experiencing financial difficulties due to the apartment deposit. They would greatly benefit from a gift card for laundry services and some hygiene products. Any assistance at this time would be immensely appreciated, as the mother is dedicated to stabilizing her family's situation and providing for her children independently.

A mother is currently navigating a difficult situation following the recent deportation of her husband, which has resulted in significant financial strain for her and her two sons. Although she is employed, the shared financial responsibilities with her husband have become overwhelming since his deportation in March. She has been making efforts to manage the household bills but is now behind on her rent.

To address her housing situation, she has applied to a different apartment complex where the rent is income-based and received approval for a new unit at a monthly rate of $875. However, she recently made a payment of $600 toward her current rent to avoid eviction.

The mother is seeking financial assistance to facilitate her move to the more affordable apartment, allowing her to maintain stable housing for herself and her children. Securing this apartment would significantly alleviate the financial burden they are experiencing and provide a more stable environment for her sons. The emotional challenges resulting from her husband's deportation have been substantial, and obtaining affordable housing would greatly reduce stress for the family.

I am reaching out on behalf of a single mother in our community who is in urgent need of support. She is the devoted parent of three children, ages 8, 11, and 13, who are all currently enrolled in school and doing their best to succeed despite facing some significant challenges at home.

The family’s washer and dryer have not been functioning properly for some time, making it extremely difficult for the children to have consistently clean clothes. Without a working washer and dryer, and without access to a vehicle to travel to a laundromat, this mother has been unable to maintain regular laundry routines. As a result, the children have sometimes come to school with clothing that carries an odor.

We are concerned about the potential impact this may have on their physical health, emotional well-being, and self-esteem. No child should have to worry about being teased or feeling embarrassed about something as basic as clean clothes.

This donation would truly be life-changing for this family. It would allow the the children come to school feeling comfortable, clean, and focused, ready to learn.

A family of five is seeking financial assistance, as well as support for hygiene and laundry products, and help with prescription medication costs for the mother. While her children are covered by Medicaid, the mother currently lacks health insurance. She was previously employed at an OB-GYN office but lost her job due to frequent absences required to care for her 10-year-old daughter, who has epilepsy and experiences multiple seizures daily. Although the mother communicated her concerns to her employer, who recommended she focus on her daughter's care, this ultimately resulted in her termination.

The family's primary source of income has now been lost, and they are struggling to keep up with their portion of the rent. They are currently residing with their in-laws and are only responsible for a portion of the rent and their personal hygiene expenses. The family is requesting one-time assistance to help cover these immediate needs until the mother can secure new employment. Support in this regard would enable them to access basic essentials and alleviate some of their financial strain during this challenging time.

This family is in desperate need of assistance for an exterminator, as there is an infestation of bed bugs in the bedroom. The family, two grandparents and two children (5 years old and an older sibling), are currently under facing a financial hardship due to the grandmother recently going through a serious surgery. The grandfather is physically limited and is unable to work. Due to that, they are unable to gather the entire funds to obtain an exterminator to solve the bed bug issue. We are asking for money to put forth for an exterminator. All donations are welcomed.

Aunt caring for 8 year old that fell off of a child's crib arranged to fit student and hurt her neck in fall. Student is in need of a twin mattress. It cannot have a bed frame as it might not fit. Grandmother has guardianship and at this time, cannot have her live with her until another few months.

Single parent, due to loss of transportation was let go from store employment and is behind on rent. 5 children, ages 4, 13, 15, 16 and 17. Apartments has not had AC fixed in three weeks and just today inspector came to help them order the repair. She was able to pay partial rent and owes a balance 698.00 after going to court and given an opportunity due to A/C as well.. Any amount to assist will be helpful to the family that has been enduring difficult days with warm weather. Also, the parent, and older siblings are all looking for employment. We are meeting monday to help with Texas Workforce and resume writing.

This is a young family that has had a lot of hardships in their family along with multiple miscarriages and they are having a problem finding employment and had recently moved into an apartment with their son and the only furniture that they have is an air mattress on the living room floor for all of them to sleep on. The family has little to no network of support and are really trying to make their family work in a positive manner. The mother is also expecting another baby in the near future and she too is not able to work at this time.

The 15 year old teen boy is currently living with his great-aunt. He is a shy and kind boy who is always so excited when he gets to visit with his young siblings. He enjoys being on the football team and is currently practicing for basketball for next year. He has had issues with aggression and angry outbursts in the past and he has worked very hard to have no issues so far this whole school year. He has asked for a piano (electric and either mid-sized or full size) and a guitar. He would be happy with used or new items. The piano was his first choice but he would like both items if possible. I believe these items will help him continue to work on his anger and give him a creative outlet for his emotions. Thank you for your consideration of this request!

A couple serves as guardians to a middle school boy. Due to unforeseen medical conditions, the male guardian has been hospitalized and is undergoing treatment. He was the primary provider, and now the increasing medical expenses have put a strain on the family. His wife initially faced challenges in applying for medical insurance but has finally managed to schedule an appointment for an insurance consultation. The family intends to apply for benefits; however, this process will take time, and as a result of the rising medical costs, their food supply has become limited. They are seeking assistance in the form of a grocery gift card to help alleviate some of their financial stress. While they are enrolled in the backpack program, the canned food provided is insufficient. The family also utilizes food pantries when transportation allows. Should assistance be granted, it would enable them to purchase food that meets their needs.

Mom has 8 children who recently moved to this county to start over. She currently does not have any bedding for 6 of the children. Mom is currently looking for employment to try and get the children proper beds.
