We are requesting a twin bed for a 17 year old girl. This young lady resides with her grandmother whom was recently able to take her in. Unfortunately, grandma does not have the funds to provide her with a bed. Bouncing from home to home, her own bed could really mean a lot to her. She is currently searching for permanency and we are hoping this placement will be it for her!

This is a special request for delivery at our office as this placement was urgent and greatly needed.

This is a family of four boys. They have been a rough bunch on their current bunk bed frames and would really love a new set! We're looking for something sturdy to keep them safe. They’ve currently busted off railings to their current beds. In addition, we would love to see them get new mattresses since we went through potty training stages with their currents. These boys love their superhero Superman!, riding their four wheelers, playing basketball or soccer in their backyard. They also enjoy racing their bikes up and down the street. They’re so sweet! Just young boys being destructive on accident playing too rough, unfortunately. Their caretaker expressed concern for their safety and would love to let her sleep at ease being able to provide such a huge gift as this for this amazing family!

We have an 18 year old male who would like a sturdy bed for his independent living placement. He just got job and is working towards being more active and a good role model for his siblings. He currently sleeps on a futon bed which is not sturdy for his size.

We are requesting a adult bike for a young teen in foster care. She was just replaced with her mentor and enjoys bike riding, but doesn't have a bike. The youth is 13 years old. She has intense mental health struggles and is open to dealing with her mental health in non-traditional ways such as sports and exercise. A young expectant mom recently moved into her new place is seeking some assistance with furniture items. This young adult has faced hardships during her residence at her last apartment with the new management team not complying with her lease agreement, leaving her with no hot water and improperly evicting her. Thankfully she was able to move into her new place. As she actively still tries to locate employment, it is becoming a bit difficult for her to continue to sleep on the floor because she no longer has a bed nor does she have an air conditioner to stay cool and dry during these hot summer days. She is asking for assistance with a couch, bed, dining room set, dresser, bath towels and wash cloths and an AC unit. She is open to accepting secondhand items with the hope of making her new place feel more like a home. This request involves some special circumstances resulting in items needing to be delivered to TNFC office rather than the family's home

Hello, I am submitting this request on behalf of a family being serviced. Mom is a single mother of 2 children and is actively seeking employment near her home. She was recently in a car accident and no longer has a vehicle. However, mom identified needing help in meeting the need of her children. Mom is seeking assistance with obtaining a washer machine. Mom stated she purchased a washer and dryer second hand but unfortunately, the washer did not work. Mom tried to save money towards a washer but utilized the funds to meet her children's needs.

This sweet and resilient young mother is working hard to create a better life for herself and her son, whom she has primary custody of during the summer months. Currently living in a small one-bedroom apartment, she’s doing everything she can to stabilize her situation and eventually move into a freestanding home. She faces several high-need medical conditions but remains incredibly strong and focused on getting them under control so she can continue growing and providing for her son. Despite these challenges, she’s determined to stay active and engaged in her child’s life, especially during these energetic summer days when he’s eager to be outside. Not being able to drive, she’s hoping for an adult-sized bicycle with a helmet to help her not only keep up with her son, but also to increase her independence. A bike would allow her to run errands, access essentials that are too far to walk to, and enjoy more time outdoors, all while improving her mental and physical health. In her downtime, she finds peace and joy in crocheting, skillfully crafting everything from blankets to doll outfits. It’s her main form of self-care, and now she’s ready to add physical activity into that routine as well. This bike would be more than just transportation, it would be a tool of empowerment, wellness, and connection for a dedicated mom who’s doing her very best. She is grateful for any style/ color of bike, however, she is a girly girl who loves pink, purple and magenta.

This remarkable 22-year-old woman is incredibly independent, hardworking, and resilient. Over the past year, she has faced a number of life-altering challenges, losing nearly all of her belongings in an apartment flood caused by a faulty sprinkler system, and enduring the heartbreaking loss of her mother in the summer of 2024. Despite these overwhelming hardships, she has shown incredible strength and determination. After being relocated to a second-floor unit without central air, she has worked tirelessly to replace most of what was lost, using her own resources. This has left her living month to month, with little room for extras. Even so, she never complains and rarely asks for help. She is known for her kindness and generosity, even when she has little to give. She spends most of her time at home focused on bettering herself; attending virtual mental health appointments, studying, preparing for her road test to get her driver’s license, and planning for a future where she can pursue her dream of becoming a seamstress or clothing maker. Her drive to build a stable and independent life, especially without the support of reliable adults, is truly admirable. A portable AC unit (either window or freestanding) would bring much-needed comfort to her living space, allowing her to continue focusing on her goals in a safe and comfortable environment. She has already overcome so much with grace and determination—this would be a meaningful step toward helping her thrive.
