She has not been able to make as much money recently and has used most of her other funds on bills. We are requesting a gas gift card to help with transportation funds.
This family of 6, are very hard working but they don't have some basic necessities, such as beds. At this time they are sleeping on the floor and still managing to work and go to school every day, having beds would really make a difference their daily lives, especially for the children to have beds to sleep in.
Student moved to us from a neighboring district and does not live with her guardian. She is currently working towards being on the wrestling team but is unable to afford required equipment to be successful including head gear and shoes.

A mother of 3 is in need of $500 to pay her rent. She had an unexpected bill come through her account, which caused a delay in her rent. She is asking for $500 to go toward her rent and needs it paid by December 5th.
DCCCA is working with a homeless family who have been living in a hotel. The mother has recently started working, DCCCA has helped the family obtain childcare, transportation for school, and is working to help with housing. The mom's mother's health is declining and is not expected to live much long so the mom has not been able to work this week or last between the holiday and being with her mother. Because of this the family is $350 short to pay the December hotel rent on Saturday (12/3). If you can help cover all or a portion of this need for the family it will allow them to continue to have a stable place to live while DCCCA continues to work with the family to secure more permanent housing and allow the mom to spend this week with her mother and not worry about working or losing their place to stay.
A single mother taking care of her two older sons is in need of transportation help. This mothers only vehicle to get to work and the children to school has broken down needing a couple of repairs. This would help the young mother as she is needing to get back and forth to work, and take her children to school.
A caregiver needs help keeping her phone line turned on to remain in touch with her children while at work. Recently, one of her children has been struggling with some behaviors that require extra supervision. She had to call off work several times to remain with her child and has fallen behind on bills. Now she is able to return to work, but she needs to prioritize her phone so her child or the adult who is supervising can always reach her. Helping meet this request will help a caregiver be able to support her child and keep the family safe.

A grandmother is placement for her infant granddaughter who is starting to crawl. The grandmother is in need of a baby gate for the top of her stairs to ensure the baby's safety and to maintain placement. The family is in need of two tires for their car. They have wires coming out of two of their tires and have not gotten tires in a few years due to being short of funds. They recently have been able to start a new job that requires them to drive a lot more than they have been. So we are asking for tires for the family. The family has a Nissan Sentra 2012 and need a 205/55R16. They have priced a used tire and it would be about 50.00 each but new tires might be safer for the family as they are driving on the highway now. The price of two new tires would be about 140.00 for two at Discount Tires.

Grandma is the caregiver for the children in the family. She is living off of her social security and cannot afford to buy 2 new tires for her 2004 CRV. She indicated that her car also has an oil leak. Grandma does not have disposable income and with the holidays coming up it's even harder to afford all that they need.
Helping this family with tires and possibly with the oil leak will help them to have an easier and less stressful holiday season.
The car leak estimate is from a google search, it is not known what the cost would be to look into a repair. Tires would be closer to that $100 a piece number. Her car currently has Pirelli tires.

A family of 5 is currently in desperate need of financial assistance with an overdue electric bill ($3,700) and an $800 phone bill as soon as possible. They were staying with the wife's mother, but were recently told that only the children could stay. This forced the husband and wife to go back to an unlighted home, and they are currently living by candlelight (have been since Thursday 9/29). Both husband and wife are unemployed. The husband is interviewing this Wednesday, but the wife is currently awaiting medical clearance to start back at Amazon after an osteoarthritis flair up.
A family with 3 children is in need of assistance to pay for the father's surgery, so that they don't fall behind on rent. The father is the only source of income for the family, so recovering from surgery will also impact the family's income and ability to pay bills.
