Family of 4 transitioning from homelessness. The family has been homeless since February of 2021 and has secured stable housing. The have most recently stayed with a shelter and report that the shelter is helping them with living room furniture but all other household items including cleaning supplies that one needs to live independently are needed. Any assistance that could be offered would be greatly appreciated. The girls will be sharing a room and there is no preference between twin over twin and twin over full. I chose twin over twin for this request. We can adjust bedding to match whatever need is met. The miscellaneous supplies are for a shower rod and curtain and for bath towels and wash clothes for a 4.

A single mom with 3 young children has fled a violent situation and is trying very hard to get back on her feet and support her family. Her current vehicle has been very unreliable and has required multiple service repairs. It is also not large enough to properly accomodate 3 carseats. Both mom and I realize this is a very big ask, but if you know someone that has a reliable and safe vehicle that they are interested in donating to a very sweet and gracious young mom who could really use the support, please let me know. Or, if you would be willing to help with the cost of her current car repairs, please let me know and I will provide further details. Thank you!

I work with a family at our school who is a single parent and is employeed and just barely making ends meet. Their bank account information was stollen last week and she is in crisis trying to pay her bills. Her car tag fee is one bill she cannot pay and they are expired by a few weeks and she is worried she will get in trouble. She relies on her vehicle to get her children to school and to drive to her job. The amount of the tags is $245. If anyone is able to help this family, they have a lot on their plate and this would enable the mom to prioritize other bills and expenses this holiday. Thank you for considering!

Help Support a Youth Aging Out
1
Critical Request
Good afternoon! I have an 18 yr old youth currently in the custody of the MO children's Division that I am working with to help her transition to adulthood. To that end I am requesting community assistance to help my youth pay off her current phone bill so she can get off her parents plan and get her own phone plan. For context, My youth is currently in a transitional living program and has her own apartment in Jackson County. She has a job and is working on transitioning to living independently without assistance from others. At this time, My youth has a phone but her phone plan is still on her parents. The parents themselves are homeless, and not financially dependable to pay the family plan (despite my youth paying her end each month). This has resulted in my youth losing service numerous times due to her parents being unable to pay the entire phone bill. My youth does not have internet in her apartment, and she needs reliable phone service to request stay in communication with me, request ubers, and have a lifeline in case of emergency. Currently only $400 remains to pay off her phone. Once she has this, she will be able to go to phone store with her parents and pay the remainder of her phone which will allow her to switch service providers. My youth plans to switch to mint mobile. My youth's phone is currently off so any assistance to help support this youth would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

This request is to help parents in being able to throw a birthday party for their two year old daughter at Chuck E Cheese. This is one of six children and one of four birthdays in December and January. By covering the cost for the party would alleviate some of that stress the parents experience during this time to make sure their children get to have fun on their birthdays, get presents for their birthday, while also making sure that they are able to get all the children presents for Christmas.

A 15-year-old male living with a kinship family walks to school every day. With the change in temperatures and winter coming he is in need of a pair of snow boots. He wears a size 15 so these are hard to find in-store and more expensive than a typical pair of boots. He has found a pair on Amazon, but at this family does not have the extra funds to purchase them. Kinship placement, Grandpa & Great Aunt are caring for 2 young children in their family. The home has cockroaches and desperately needs to be treated. The family is strapped for money and is unable to pay for the treatment. The family has gotten a quote from a pest control company for an initial treatment that would cost $350. I work with a family who has been struggling to make ends meet this year. She is a single mother who works in education and is struggling with her car payment and is in danger of losing the car. Parents are behind on utility bills, 198.45 for electric and 610.96 for gas. Children are currently placed out of the home with relatives, however, if the utilities get shut off parents will not be able to have visits in the home and it could hinder reunification as parents could be subject to eviction for having the utilities shut off. Parents are actively involved with the case and doing all services asked of them to reunify with their children. Having the utilities shut off could be a detriment for the case and cause possible delay in reunification.
