Single mom of two children (one with significant medically complexity) is struggling to pay her rent this month due to misplacing the already purchased money order for their income-based housing. Mother has taken great lengths to locate the misplaced payment but has come up short. There aren't any community agencies able to help until she has received a formal eviction notice which she doesn't want to risk due to the need for stable housing of her medically complex child. Please consider assisting with this tangible need!

This family is just coming from homelessness but just got moved into their new home! I'm so excited for them as its a big step this family. The mother who is disabled has been working so hard at getting everything together for there new home and could use a little love and support from her community in getting a bed for her child and couch for the house. A young mother has escaped a domestic violence situation with the father of her baby, the baby has recently come into care. The baby is placed with a kinship provider; the mother is working two jobs and providing for her baby, although the baby is not in her home currently. Family is new to the KC area and speaks Hatian Creole. Family speaks limited English and has a limited support system. They have a disconnect notice for their electricity. I have called several agencies about getting assistance and cannot find one that has funds available until next month but I didn't want their electricity to get shut off in the mean time.

These foster parents are outstanding advocates for the children in their care. One of their current placements is a child undergoing dialysis treatment three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, for several hours each day. Due to her medical needs, foster child is unable to attend traditional school full-time.

Foster mom has been a tireless advocate for the child's education. She has proactively pursued both a 504 Plan and an Individualized Education Program (IEP) to ensure foster child receives the academic support she deserves. Foster mom has coordinated with school district officials, principals, and even representatives from the Kansas Department of Education to secure the best possible resources for foster child.

Thanks to foster mom's efforts, the child will begin a hybrid school program next year, attending in person on non-dialysis days. This marks a significant milestone as it will be the child's first in-person school experience in four years.

The foster family is currently requesting a Chromebook or Amazon gift cards to offset the cost of the Chromebook for the foster child. This is essential for her hybrid learning model. The school district will not provide this resource.

This family just moved from Oklahoma to Kc area just within the last few months getting away from toxic relationship. This little family of 4 plus one on the way currently. Mom is currently about 6 months pregnant and looking to get some stability before the baby comes! Mom is looking for some help finding some new shoes for the 3 kids. She would really appreciate this help so the kids can get started in their new school!

A single mother and two female toddlers ages 2 and 4 are looking to move into a new home in a safer neighborhood than where they are currently residing. The mother has worked very hard in maintaining employment and even purchased a vehicle to help her transport her children to daycare and maintain her girls' relationship to their biological father. The mother has asked for assistance in a first-month's deposit to move out in June as her lease is ending the end of May. She is needing the community's help in this matter to ensure safer and better lives for her two little girls. Any amount would significantly help this family, as they are also very close to being released of jurisdiction and reunifying.

A mother of four wonderful girls is working on her reintegration case plan tasks diligently. She has worked to get appropriate housing for herself and the kids, and is at risk of losing the housing due to back rent. She owes $1000 in back rent, and has paid off over half, and needs assistance in paying off the rest. Any financial assistance, no matter the amount, is appreciated and a blessing!

Bio mom of three precious children has been reunified with her children after being adopted by another family. The adoption didn't work out and the children have now been placed back with mom. Mom is doing everything she needs to do and is going through the adoption process. Mom has had some financial struggles after her car broke down. She was forced to finance another car and does not have the money to pay the property tax to get tags for the car. Mom unexpectedly lost her job after her son became ill because she had to stay home with him and missed too many days from work. The youngest child just had surgery and was hospitalized for 7 days. Mom has a lot of medical appointment for him. Mom has started door dashing part time to earn money. Mom has gotten several tickets because her temporary tags have now expired. Mom is looking for assistance with getting tags for her car so she can drive her children to appointments and to get to work.
