I have a mom in need of assistance with her electric bill. She has supervised visits with her children in her home and is about to lose electricity. We would like to continue having the visits in her home where the children are comfortable. In order for this to continue, she needs some assistance. The mom is unemployed at this time due to health concerns and no transportation. Any help is appreciated.

The father of a family of five suddenly passed away without any life insurance. The family is not only mourning this profound loss but also finds itself in a financial crisis. In addition to funeral expenses, their one working vehicle is experiencing electrical issues and cannot be used until it is repaired. They also need to replace their oven.

A father with a 1 year old child in care needs to attend the next court hearing tomorrow. However, he does not have any transportation or insurance that would cover the expense of attending the court hearing. The goal for this young child is reunification and the father needs to attend the court hearing to continue the process of reunification.

Asking for assistance with utility bills that are past due. Mother has baby admitted in the NICU for over 2 months awaiting heart surgery. Mother also is her 17 year old brother's legal guardian. Mother's brother was in a car accident and has a traumatic brain injury. He now lives with mother full-time. Mother normally works but has not been able to since baby was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit 2 months ago. Mother has just started back to work but is unable to pay the past due utility bills. Mother is requesting assistance with Spire gas bill and KC Water water bill. Both are in danger of being shut off. Spire bill is $215.99 and KC Water bill is 272.99. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Mother is currently needing help due to recent injury at work and getting paid less. She is concerned about her son stealing the marijuana she is using to assist her medically and that is causing major tension in the household. Mother has asked to see if we can help get her a medical lock box for her personal belongings.

This hardworking mom is raising two young children and doing her best to provide a safe and stable environment for her family. Currently, she is without a proper bed and has been sleeping on the floor or couch to ensure her children are as comfortable as possible. A queen mattress would give her the opportunity to get the rest she truly deserves and continue caring for her children with the strength and energy they depend on. A donated mattress would be more than just a piece of furniture—it would represent dignity, comfort, and care for a mother doing everything she can for her family under difficult circumstances. Kids don’t have winter clothes that fit and are missing school because they don’t have clean clothes to wear. Due to the weather getting colder, it is becoming more urgent that the kids have access to warm clothing that fits. Winter clothes for a female child age 9, a female child age 14, and a male child age 14. The youngest female is a size 7 or 8 in pants and shirt. Oldest male is a size 32-34 in pants and a large in shirt. Oldest female is a size large in shirt and pants. The kids are each needing winter coats, hats, gloves, and any long pants or shirts.
