A grandmother is placement for her 3-year-old granddaughter. She is requesting a smoke and CO2 detectors, as well as a fire extinguisher. She is also requesting assistance with groceries. She is requesting clothing for her, as well, especially underwear, and she just became potty trained. She wears size 3T-5T.

I am requesting a twin be and bedding for a child placed in a relative home. They have income but they have their own child and expecting second child. The child placed in their home using one of their step child's bed. In summer he comes to visit his father. He came two days ago and using his bed. The child placed in the home needs a bed. Without a proper bed the family will not able to meet basic living standard for her. The family is committed to create a safe and stable environment, and receiving this assistance would greatly support preserve the placement.

DCS has been invoked since April of 2025. Mother of child is deceased and father has not been in contact with DCS since the opening of this case. The child was previously placed in foster care in Lake County and just recently moved back to Marion County. The previous bed for the placement broke before the child arrived and FCM bought child an air mattress for the time being. Placement needs assistance with a new bed for the child that is more sustainable than an air mattress.
