A resilient household of four has recently achieved a remarkable milestone by moving from a hotel to a new apartment. Their dedication and hard work to secure stable housing have been nothing short of inspirational. However, unforeseen challenges have emerged, threatening their fragile progress.

With limited income, the family has been unable to afford furniture, leaving them to sleep on the floor with only minimal blankets for warmth. This situation has taken a physical toll on them, especially the eldest daughter, who recently secured a job to contribute to the family’s finances. Tragically, she fell while attempting to rise from the floor, injuring her knee and forcing her to take time off from work. This setback highlights the urgent need for assistance.

The family is seeking support to acquire beds, which would significantly improve their health, safety, and overall well-being. A small gesture of kindness could make a world of difference for this determined household as they continue to fight for stability and a brighter future.

The maternal grandmother took the two young children in after the mother's mental health has not been managed. The children will be staying with her permanently and she had to move out of the home she had just recently moved into due to it having black mold. One child has autism and there are so many financial changes and needs for this grandmother. She needs a washer and dryer used is fine. She would benefit from a gas card or bill payments help. She could use financial help or anything anyone is willing to help with.

We have a single grandmother fostering her three young grandchildren at this time. Grandmother has her bills on autopay every month but due to an error with the bank, OGE has not been receiving the payments for some time. Grandmother now owes a large amount but is in need of a deposit to be able to make a payment arrangement. Grandmother is not working at this time due to health issues so we are hoping to find some financial assistance for her so that she can start the payment arrangement process and continue to focus on her health. Food Donation for Children at the Family Tree The OKDHS Family Tree offers a home-like setting for children awaiting placement. The Center is a safe, comfortable environment for children as the child welfare worker completes necessary paperwork and identifies a foster placement. Children often come in hungry. The Family Tree allows children to choose what they want to eat, giving them a choice when they do not have many choices. We have a list of possible suggestions but are open to any food donation that is easily prepared. The Family Tree has a refrigerator and can accept frozen or cold foods. Thank you for your help!

I am working on a case for a single mother of two children. She is currently attending preventive classes for domestic violence and is making great progress. She is actively seeking employment, but she is having difficulty managing her schedule without a stroller to help transport her one-year-old son and two-month-old daughter. This mother is looking for a new or used double stroller to assist her in safely navigating their daily activities.

A single parent foster home has a child with higher needs to which she has to leave work daily to pick the child up to attend therapy then commute back to work. This request is for funds or a gift card to help put towards gas for this daily commute as therapy does not have a foreseeable end date and additional support is needed for the home. Any contribution to this would be much appreciated to this very deserving family.

We have a sweet, high-energy, and goofy four-year-old who has been moved ten times in less than a year. This kiddo only recently turned four years old, so she missed signups for school and will have to wait until the fall. This sweet little kiddo has been given up on so many times and we have a family member who has agreed to give us a chance to get therapy and other services in place. This kiddo has endured tremendous trauma between being moved constantly, in addition to being brought into our custody. This household is a one income household, and the foster parent is a stay-at-home parent which means she is with our sweet high-energy kiddo 24/7. We are working on trying to give her a break throughout the week and get this kiddo into daycare. Daycare does not take our vouchers, and we are looking for any sort of donations (through a visa gift card because daycare will only take online payments). Please help us limit this vulnerable child from being moved again and get her into daycare where she can strengthen her social skills, and give this blessing of a family member a break to maintain this placement.

Hello all. We have a child who is experiencing his 2nd time in state custody at a young age. The child is currently on his 3rd placement within a year and the foster dad has recently been laid off at work. He is very good at what he does, but a bigger company bought out the shop that he works at and closed down the shop. The foster dad gave no time for excuses and immediately started submitting his resume, but now bills are starting to stack up. The foster family expressed that they were embarrassed to ask for assistance, but they didn't know what else to do. The foster family is specifically needing assistance with a gas bill, a light bill, and a water bill.

I am working a prevention case with a single mother and her three children. The mother is currently looking for employment. She is also participating in substance abuse services and doing everything the department has asked of her, to include maintaining her sobriety and providing clean drug screens. The children are in high need of clothing and new/used shoes. This family (and I) would be grateful for any help.

This request is for a kinship family who has 1 biological child and 2 foster children. The foster parents are fostering their two youngest brothers, one of whom is autistic. The youngest child has been hospitalized for almost a week with rhinovirus, strep, pneumonia, and something that is causing the child to have a rash. The family has been struggling to pay their utility bill the past month and has not reached out for help until now as the child being in the hospital is their priority. The family has received a cut off notice. Their total bill is $476.10 however, we are just asking for the disconnect fee of $259 to be covered to avoid services getting shut off.

Biological mother is working her plan and is currently living in a substance abuse facility. She just moved to this home and still looking for employment to pay the rent to stay there. She is in need of some assistance paying next month's rent and asking for any donation and will be greatly appreciated. She continues to test negative, attend her classes and look for employment, but is needing some assistance.

Biological father has begun working on his ISP and has reliable transportation. He is struggling finding stable housing and employment, but looking everyday for work. He recently had to quit his job and now his phone screen has stopped working and his current phone keeps overheating and not holding a charge. He has a cell service with AT&T and is in need of a phone. He doesn't care about what type of phone or if it is used and not in best condition, he would just like any phone that he can use to receive calls and texts on. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. The $300 request is ball park, but again the phone type does not matter to him.
