This family with 3 teenagers and a baby sister are having a plumbing problem in the home and sewage backup. The family is needing assistance with having their line snaked to prevent further water from backing up in their basement. The parents are very appreciative of assistance as they struggle to pay monthly bills and having a water backup is a added burden. Worker has called Razor Rooter and received a bid. If donor has another business that would like to donate services this is open to that as well.

Mother with twin boys (1 years old) is needing a double stroller. Mom was homeless and came to services with the clothing on her back. She was able to get into temporary housing, however she is needing a double stroller for her twins as she is currently pregnant and shouldn't be lifting both of them. Mom walks places or when needing to go to appointments, it is a huge challenge. Mom is not picky what type of double stroller (there are options on amazon, walmart or target).
Mom is also needing to get her birth certificate to get into public housing (her own place with the boys) and does not have the funds to order it. We are requesting a donation so that DCCCA can help assist getting her birth certificate.
Single mom, newly out on her own, recently moved into an apartment with her 2 very young children. Mom has limited resources and the apartment has limited space. We are looking for a toddler bed and bedding for the 18 month old child to prevent co-sleeping. This would allow each child to have their own safe sleeping space each night.

Pregnant mother is in care of her 2 year old. She has recently had to separate from her husband for safety reasons and is down to one income. She is currently working, and actively seeking better employment, but is requesting assistance with her utility bill this month.

I am working with a family that is struggling to pay their BPU bill for utilities. It will be turned off tomorrow if they are unable to pay this. They were able to pay $85 toward the total and have $153 remaining. Any assistance would be appreciated. Mother was working but had to quit when the daycare closed. She is looking for work and daycare again now. Thank you for considering this request and for your continued support for our families and case workers! :)
We have a kinship placement that has a one-year-old female. They have had her since she was a newborn and are in the final stages of adoption. Yay! She is becoming very active, and we are requesting a playpen for the family. They are currently not using daycare and have been a very conscientious, loving place for this baby and we would like to help if we can. Playpen can be gently used. Thank you so much for taking the time to read!
A grandmother is placement for her infant granddaughter who is starting to crawl. The grandmother is in need of a baby gate for the top of her stairs to ensure the baby's safety and to maintain placement. A gate that attaches to the wall is preferred so that her 2-year-old brother is unable to push through the gate. Please see link for example of need. Thank you!
I work with a family that includes a disabled mother and two teenage girls. The mother is not able to work due to a work related injury. She has limited finances and since she no longer receives KERA rental assistance, all of the family's finances are being used to avoid eviction. This mom really really needs to be consistent with her medication. She has a $200 overdue bill that needs to be paid before her doctor will renew her prescription. Not having the prescription means she is in pain, being in pain means she is irritable, and the high stress family environment is getting to be too much for her to handle. Hoping someone will help her with this $200 overdue medical bill.
A grandmother who is helping out her daughter while she receives the help she needs is also in need of assistance. This grandmother is transporting the child back and forth to school every day. She is in need of gas assistance as she is traveling a lot to care for her grandson.
Anything small or big would help her while she continues to help take care of her grandson.
Mother of baby girl and grandson, both turning one the first of the year. Mom needs car seats for her baby girl and grandson.
Mom just has the two carries for the babies. Mom little girl has been at Children Mercy Hospital for a week with RSV.
Mom works nights and two other children in school. One of the babies is her 16-year-old daughter.
They live near Walmart .
A young mom expecting a baby boy within the next two weeks does not have an infant car seat. She is a graduate of our program and participates in our aftercare program . An new or gently used (1 year old or less) infant car seat would provide her with a safe way to transport her baby .
