Single mother of 3 is in need of a bouncing activity saucer for her 6-month-old girl to help with the child's physical development. The child is not hitting some milestones such as sitting up or putting weight of her legs and having a saucer will help in those areas. There are many options available for this type of baby equipment and they all have a different name such as ExerSaucer or Sit, Bounce, Jump Saucer.

A 13 year old boy was removed from his mother's care due to drug use and concerns for housing. He recently moved in with his father but he is in need of some bedroom furniture! He is need of a dresser for his clothes and belongings

The family has been struggling with a roach infestation. The child is going to school and when changing at school there is bugs falling from him and there is bugs in his backpack. It is stated that the child scratches at himself and it is believed the bugs may be biting the child. The family is only asking for help getting bug bombs, and spray to alleviate some of the issues with the bugs. The child will be happier and healthier in the home.

Expecting mother of triplets went into labor early and ended up losing of her babies. She is in need of most baby items but most importantly she asked for a simple request of a pack and play. She did state that anything would help her with the needs of the newborn babies. From clothes to various items such as diapers, and wipes. She also explained that she has been trying to find a bigger place with her growing family and has a house but needed help with the deposit(1,200). The items will help mom be less stressed while she continues to mother her newborns and grieve the loss of her third triplet. The deposit will secure the home she needs for her growing family.

A sibling set of four recently reentered care due to physical abuse by their adoptive parents. This is the second time these kids have been in foster care. They were all placed with their older brother and his partner and their two kids. It was a miracle that the brother and his partner were willing to take in all four of the younger siblings but they are in need on one more bed so that they all have their own bed. A Twin bed, mattress and bedding to keep all of these siblings together in the same house.

Single mom major medical conditions. Former military needs help moving junk out of home. Has mental health issues that causes hording and lack of ability to clean home. Just recently took on care of 15 year old son. He to has mental health conditions which limits his ability to help clean. Family is in need of a company to help clean up home and garage. The cost will be 200.00 for them to clean up home by removing junk. This will help this family tremendously. A family with three children currently in care need home repair supplies, paint and painting supplies and tools in order to make repairs needed to the home in an effort to make the home sanitary and safe enough for the children to return home. A gift card to a store such as Walmart or Lowes or Home Depot would be also be helpful.

We have a family who came into care, set of 4 siblings who are being split between two placements. The youngest two, aged 3 and 7, are in dire need of a bed, frame, and possible sheets/pillow. The placement is a family member who also has her own children and went from feeding 5 mouths to 7 and she is struggling financially and also left her job to care for the 3-year-old full time. She is in need of beds for both children as she just doesn't have the extra. If we can get a trundle bed, that would be preferred she said but will take what is given to help. These kids have been through a lot already and we are just trying to ease the stress and help maintain their placement.

Biological mother is living in residential program to assist in her sobriety, she has been approved due to her success of sobriety to the next level of the program to a apartment for herself and her child. She is in need of furniture. She has all her utilities up to date and ready to turn on. However, she is not allowed to move into apartment until she has furniture to furnish it. Biological mother is in need of a bed for herself, a crib/toddler bed for her 14 month old daughter who she has unsupervised visits with and progressing well and on track to reunify. Mother also needs couch, table, chairs, anything to help make her apartment feel as a home. Thank you very much for trying to help this mother on her journey to reunification. She has done very well in the program and with her court ordered services. Any of these items needed can be used in good condition.

Relative placement is in need of 2 dressers for two girls. they currently do not have anywhere to put their clothes.

3 children who were recently removed from the home are in need of beds in order to remain at a relative placement. They have bedding, they just need a bed/mattress per state policy.

Mom, Dad, and their three children live in a home that is not being maintained well by their landlord. Their stove top works but their oven is broken. They are working to install babyproofing in the home to keep their youngest safe. The family has had issues with their plumbing. This is fixed, but they are in the process of ridding the home of many things that were damaged by water during the time the plumbing malfunctioned and are struggling with KCMO's limited trash pickup policy. The home needs cleaning, and the family is working on this currently and has made significant progress. The two older children attend school and do well, and the father is currently searching for employment after being laid off from a good job due to staffing issues and through no fault of his own. The family has had a rough start to the year but is very motivated to get their living conditions back in shape and are using all of the help available to do so. The children have a very loving bond with their parents, especially dad and the baby who clearly adore each other!

Gift cards are needed to help a relative placement feed and transport their family member to and from school who is in foster care. They have to drive from Lawrence to Shawnee two times a day in order to keep him in school!
