I have a mom requesting help with rent. Her husband was killed at the beginning of the month while on a getaway with their son (he witnessed the incident) and he was the primary financial provider. She is trying to get all the kinks worked out, but she is asking for any kind of help with her rent until she can find a new place or find other arrangements. She has said that she would be grateful for any amount or recommendations. Her rent a month was $1300.

This family was recently impacted by a natural disaster and has been staying at different family member's homes. They are finally able to move to a new home, but one child is medically complex and needing a large suitcase to take all his belongings and medical equipment with him on the move, as the family will travel by public transportation.

Children's Division is trying to help support a family of six (4 kids). This family has been trying to eradicate a pest problem for several months on their own. The situation has not improve despite several different methods tried by the family. Children's Division and the family have a developed a multi prong attack plan to eliminate the pests. To implement this plan, we do require some support so that the family will not get behind on financials. We are requesting 5 storage bins to help put the family's food in, to keep the critters at bay. The family also said a baby gate they would benefit from a new baby gate.

Mother has recently lost her job and is currently facing financial hardship. She urgently needs assistance to cover the cost of retrieving her car from a repair shop. If the payment is not made within 24 hours, the shop will have the vehicle towed, resulting in additional fees and complications.

Student only has one pair of sneakers that has rips in them. Family is currently displaced and can not afford sneakers.

I am a social worker working with family that is need of a high-chair. The child is engaging in feeding therapy to strengthen their oral intake to be able to eat on their own as they currently requires a g-tube to meet nutritional needs. Having a high-chair would assist in fostering an environment for exploration of foods and meeting therapy goals for baby to be able to eat by mouth. Thank you for consideration of this need!

Older youth could use assistance with an uber or lyft gift card. He is set to age out of care in a few weeks. He is in supported housing and applying for new jobs. He has an interview scheduled this weekend, but transportation is an issue. He is still trying to learn the local bus system and his Medicaid has denied him transport to interviews. A gift card could help give him an immediate transport option while we work with him and his program on other options for getting around in the future.

Asking for assistance with utility bills that are past due. Mother has baby admitted in the NICU for over 2 months awaiting heart surgery. Mother also is her 17 year old brother's legal guardian. Mother's brother was in a car accident and has a traumatic brain injury. He now lives with mother full-time. Mother normally works but has not been able to since baby was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit 2 months ago. Mother has just started back to work but is unable to pay the past due utility bills. Mother is requesting assistance with Spire gas bill and KC Water water bill. Both are in danger of being shut off. Spire bill is $215.99 and KC Water bill is 272.99. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Uncle and Grandmother who have been caring for their niece/granddaughter need assistance with their rent. Grandmother is not currently working and uncle has lost his job as a result of keeping appointments for his niece while she is in his care. As a result, he has gotten behind on his rent and is facing eviction.

Uncle has already reached out to community partners for assistance and is currently starting work. Only the first hearing has occurred so far so there is still time to settle the balance. Paying this amount will reduce the amount owed and allow the landlord to see uncle's attempts at resolving the matter, thus allowing him more time.

The family in need is a single parent home with one child. Mom was let go from her job over 6 weeks ago and actively looking for another. Son has severe medical diagnosis and requires several needed medications daily. Mom has no insurance now and attempting to pay for all medications out of pocket. Mom is requesting help with food, medication cost, and cleaning supplies. Medication cost is $52, $25, and $15 through Walgreens. The family has completed emergency food stamp and Medicaid assistance and that should kick in mid-June. Mom will be grateful for any amount of gift cards to Walmart for food and cleaning supplies, and Walgreens to help with medication cost.

This family is currently fighting to stay together. Mom is working hard trying to maintain the home and is working on herself to become the best mom she can be. Mom was fighting an infestation in the home and was forced to throw away furniture. They are in need of a couch for the living room and a dresser for the child. So he can have somewhere to store his clothing and make his room feel a little more comfortable.

Mom has just got her daughter back in the home after being placed with dad for a while. The family has been through a lot of trauma. Mom is struggling to maintain food and utilities in the home. She is needing help with getting food and paying her utility bill.

This will help to alleviate concerns of feeding and nourishing the child. Making sure she can have access to food every day.

Asking for a $200 gift card for food and help paying utility bill.
