This 14 year old boy has been in care for over two years. He moved bounced around a little, before finding stable placement with his siblings in March of 2021. He has an 8th grade field trip to Washinton, DC coming up in April (with payment due in December). This youth is a great kid. Once he got into a stable and loving home, and was able to find the right dosage of medication, he has thrived. He does well in school, loves playing sports, and he has a very humble and kind personality. He would really like to go on this trip, and his foster family would really like for him to be able to join his classmates. They need some help to make this happen. The cost of the trip is $1,609, and that is a lot for the family to take on, especially since they have five other children in the home.
Two children are being reunified with their father after he was released from a stretch in prison. The children are very excited to be with him again and he is working on making their house a home. They are in need of two twin sized bed frames and mattresses for the kids. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Family with father working short hours due to winter season and mother unable to work due to physical pain after childbirth. This family with 3 teenagers and a baby sister are having a plumbing problem in the home and sewage backup. The family is needing assistance with having their line snaked to prevent further water from backing up in their basement. The parents are very appreciative of assistance as they struggle to pay monthly bills and having a water backup is a added burden. Worker has called Razor Rooter and received a bid. If donor has another business that would like to donate services this is open to that as well.
I am working with a new mother and father who have a 10 day old baby. The baby has some medical issues and that parents would like to get a baby monitor for when she is napping in a separate room from them. Any assistance would be appreciated and they are happy to take a used set as long as it is working. Thank you for considering this request and your continued support!
a girl who comes from very meek means. She comes from a family who is rifled with drugs, alcohol, physical, mental, and sexual abuse. She is placed with a well meaning relative who has 4 children of her own and can't afford to put J through driver's education. J tried studying and taking the exam on her own but was unsuccessful 2 times. I offered to get her into driver's education so that she has time to take the test in parts, and not all at one time. She was so happy that this was an option for her as it never was before. Please help with this donation so that J is able to start driving like other 18 year old kids her age.
DCCCA is working with a family who has been homeless for 9-months and the family has been separated for the past few months with children saying at a friends home and mom staying with different family members and sleeping in her care at times. Mom does work full-time but has had a difficult time finding affordable housing.
Mom has found a home and been accepted to move in as soon as she can pay the deposit and a month of rent up front. The family is hoping to move in as soon as possible because the family the children have been staying with will be leaving town next week leaving the children with no place to go. If the family is not able to get into housing soon there will likely be court involvement which always leads to the risk of the children being removed. We know $1,125 is a very large amount but having the first months rent will allow the family to move in as soon as possible and will give the family stability to being working on other goals to continue to increase their stability.

I am working with a family that is struggling to pay their BPU bill for utilities. It will be turned off tomorrow if they are unable to pay this. They were able to pay $85 toward the total and have $153 remaining. Any assistance would be appreciated. Mother was working but had to quit when the daycare closed. She is looking for work and daycare again now. Thank you for considering this request and for your continued support for our families and case workers! :)
Single mother raising 2 children while working a part time job. This family is living below income and all family members have strong mental health diagnosis. While worker was conducting a meeting, it was noted that the children have rags for blankets both on their beds and lounging in the livingroom. This family had most their blankets destroyed by puppies that were born last week and years of love by the children. While the home has heat, the home gets chilly.
Each of the family members need a queen size blanket . Boy bed is a full size, Girl size is a twin who is known for sleeping with mom. Mom bed size is Queen. Family could also use blankets for livingroom.
Thank you so much for considering to give these children something warm to snuggle with and keep warm while sleeping at night.
We have a kinship placement that has a one-year-old female. They have had her since she was a newborn and are in the final stages of adoption. Yay! She is becoming very active, and we are requesting a playpen for the family. They are currently not using daycare and have been a very conscientious, loving place for this baby and we would like to help if we can. Playpen can be gently used. Thank you so much for taking the time to read!
I am currently working with a grandmother and her 2 grandchildren due to safety concerns in the home related to 1 grandchild's behavior. A grandmother is overwhelmed with the responsibility and energy it is taking to help make sure her grandchild is minimizing unwanted behavior. Unfortunately, due to some of those behaviors her home has several holes in the wall and broken doors. I would love to get a handyman in the home to help fix the damage or supply the needed items to get these things replaced. Additionally, other items they are in need of being a TV, DVD player, and home phone. Any help would be appreciated to help his grandmother reclaim her home.
I am unclear on the price range of 3 new interior doors.

Did the money that Karen donated ever reach you? This is still an open request on our end, but we never received the money because someone else responded before me that I didn't see when I responded on my phone. Please let me know if you still need our assistance as a connecting church. Thank you!

Any help would be appreciated!
I have a family that will be reunifying within the next few months after being out-of-home for almost a year. All children will be reunifying with their father, who has been their sole caregiver for several years. Dad had been struggling financially and had extreme difficulties finding a house to accommodate himself and his kids for the past few months. He finally secured housing, but is struggling with furnishings and specifically beds for the children. We'd like to request any help in finding or creating a fund for the family to secure beds or bunk beds for all 3 kids.
We have a congregation member who has two twin bed frames and two twin mattresses for donation. Please email/text me and I will connect the two of you. Thanks! ~ Michaela ******@email.com ###-####)
