This CarePortal request is to help preserve a foster care placement. Placement/foster mom recently took in a 16-year-old girl as emergency placement. Placement is needing a bunkbed set for the 16-year-old girl to accommodate her privacy and need for more space.

The mother just had her baby yesterday and is in need of multiple items for her newborn baby girl. This single income household would greatly appreciate any new or gently used infant items to help support their transition home. The family is in need of -newborn to 3-month baby girl clothes -newborn diapers -baby wipes -breast milk bags ($10) -breast milk bottles/baby bottles ($20) -mother is also in need of pads/hygiene products for herself for after birth (maternity pads $15)

She is trying to potty train the child and is requesting a potty chair (not a toilet seat for the toilet), training panties size 2T/3T and summer clothing sized 3T. My youth in question is 20 years old and in the custody of the MO Children's Division. She is the mother of a 4-yr old girl who also lives with her and she recently moved from a transitional program to her own apartment in St. Joseph, MO. My youth obtained her CNA and has a job lined up and a start date set but she hasn't started just yet and is needing a few items to get settled in her new home. She is requesting help to obtain a microwave for her apartment. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated!

The family has been living in an apartment with extended family and the apartment complex is now requesting that the family leave as they feel that the family was there without permission. The family has two children, a 1 year old and a 4 year old. The family is in need of a temporary place to stay so that the children will have their needs of shelter met. I am requesting for at least 2 nights of a hotel stay to give myself and the family more time to figure out something longer term. A nearby motel for the family would be American Inn. I have checked and as of now they have rooms available. For the two nights the rate given to me was $174.92. I am requesting $200 to be cautious.

Grandma is raising 8 of her grandchildren. She is requesting a day bed or a day bed with a trundle underneath. Three of her grandchildren are under the age of three. She likes to rock them to sleep in her arms. She would like to have a daybed in the living room so she would be able to rock them to sleep and transfer them over to the day bed so they can nap. They are too heavy for her to carry them asleep to their rooms. Also, she would love to have a wide rocking chair so both her and her grandbabies can fit while she is rocking them. Grandma is the backbone of the family. She needs to take care of her body in order to be able to care for all her grandbabies.

Family of 5 needs (3) dehumidifer's for kid's bedrooms in the basement. There are fans in the bedrooms; however, the rooms are very stuffy and smells like mildew. Any help would be appreciated. It is possible for the girls to open their doors and share one of the deumidifer's, if needed.
