I have a teen who needs help paying for immunizations for her dog. I know this isn’t a typical request but this dog means the world to this teen. She raised the dog since it was a pup and has spent a great deal of time training it and entering it into dog competitions (fly ball, I think?). The dog is her companion and she is very attached to him, he has been with her when many people have abandoned our youth. Our youth is in foster care and placed a few hours from the KC area.

Children Division is assisting a Swahili family who has 6 children in the home. It was discovered that all 6 children in the home have been sleeping in 1 bed. This family is in need of 6 twin sized beds or bunk beds with frames as well as bed linens. In addition to the beds needed we are hoping to connect this family to a Swahili community so that they have community supports. Thank you in advance

Expecting mother of triplets went into labor early and ended up losing of her babies. She is in need of most baby items but most importantly she asked for a simple request of a pack and play. She did state that anything would help her with the needs of the newborn babies. From clothes to various items such as diapers, and wipes. She also explained that she has been trying to find a bigger place with her growing family and has a house but needed help with the deposit(1,200). Mother and child currently live in an apartment with "little to no furniture." Mother is primary caregiver for child and does not have a lot of family support. Mother expressed she would like to have a couch in her living room for her and child to sit on while bonding in the living room. Mother stated she is "barely holding her head above water" with bills, rent and utilities and does not have the financial means to purchase a couch. Mother stated she would like for herself, child and guest to have a place to sit rather than sitting on the floor. Mother stated she would appreciate any donation of couch as she would like her home to feel "complete."
