I am assisting a family that has a pest problem and are in need of a queen bed frame to get their mattress and box spring off of the ground, two queen size mattress protectors, and queen size sheets/bedding. This is a single parent on a very limited income and does not have resources to purchase these items. They are currently sharing the queen size mattress due to space. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

This is a single-family home with two children. The mother works from home as a tutor, however, does not receive a lot of financial help and currently has no transportation. The family has tried using the transportation through insurance and has not had much luck with consistency. Additionally, they need so much time in advance to for appointments. The child is in need of medical care to assess the child's ears and throat to ensure child's health. The family feels that a bus pass would allow them to make it to and from the Urgent Care office while allowing the parent to still be able to attend work.

A mother and her four children have been in supportive housing after exiting a domestic violence shelter last year. Mom is extremely motivated to find a job and not rely long term on public assistance, and ensures her kids are well taken care of, attend school, and have enjoyable experiences. Mom had to choose between bills this month and chose to pay registration and property tax fees for her car. As a result, she is unable to pay her phone bill this month. Mom and her kids use their phone bill benefits to call relatives out of state as they have no family nearby. Mom is confident in her ability to stay up to date with bills in future months as her government benefits cover monthly bills, but the fees associated with her car were higher than what she planned for. We truly appreciate your assistance in meeting this request, to ensure this family can stay in touch with their loved ones.

Three children came into care with very little belongings, due to homelessness, the children are in need of clothing.

The home also requested for an extra tv if at all possible so they do not have to share one tv, and a bigger couch so everyone can sit together as a family at their placement.

Our team is currently working with a family of four who have until May 31st to address their hoarding situation. There are two children in the home, and at this time, the house is not a safe environment for them. We are seeking assistance not only from churches but also from businesses that have a dedicated team of four or five individuals willing to help us.

Additionally, we are requesting support for a dumpster rental to safely dispose of unwanted items. Other necessary items include trash bags, six boxes, gloves, six large totes, mouse traps, and cleaning supplies.

The mother in this family is struggling with severe depression, while the father is trying to keep up with expenses. DCCCA is working diligently to support the family's mental health and the children's mental and social needs.

There’s single mother with a 16 your old son in jeopardy of being evicted. She is recently divorced and has had to file for bankruptcy. Over the past few months maintaining the household had become more difficult. She received an eviction notice and is facing that notice being enforced next week, if she cannot pay $2257.

Single mom of two children (one with significant medically complexity) is struggling to pay her rent this month due to misplacing the already purchased money order for their income-based housing. Mother has taken great lengths to locate the misplaced payment but has come up short. There aren't any community agencies able to help until she has received a formal eviction notice which she doesn't want to risk due to the need for stable housing of her medically complex child. Please consider assisting with this tangible need!

Single mother of 2 is working very hard to find stable housing and work while also uninsured. One of the two children has been bullied at school for the clothes that she wears. The bullying has been relentless, to the point of daughter wanting to self-harm. The daughter is in safe hands. Clothes for the daughter are hard to find, as in age appropriate and in her style in sizes 2X. A gift card to any clothing places that has her size would help take a burden off of mom's shoulder and empower her daughter to feel more confident in choosing her clothes. There is an ICPC relative placement for 3 siblings ages 14,11 and 8. There are 2 girls and boy living with their grandmother in St.Joseph MO. This is the only relative placement option for all 3 siblings, and we would like to preserve this placement as everything else is going well. This family is urgently needing support with deep cleaning the house and bed bugs extermination before the walkthrough that will be performed by MO ICPC on May 14,2025. Grandmother has already applied first round of bed bug treatment; however, we would like to make sure that the infestation is removed completely. It would be easier for this family to maintain cleanliness if they receive support with deep cleaning. We would really appreciate all the help this family can receive before May 14.

This family is just coming from homelessness but just got moved into their new home! I'm so excited for them as its a big step this family. The mother who is disabled has been working so hard at getting everything together for there new home and could use a little love and support from her community in getting a bed for her child and couch for the house. Single mom with one teenager. The mom had to have emergency surgery. She has full time employment and was up to date on paying her bills, until she had emergency surgery. Because of the surgery her doctor has requested that she does not work for up to 12 weeks. Her employment does not include any benefits or paid time off. She works for a cleaning company which requires her to be physically able to do her job, but the surgery has made it so she can not work for the time being.

She is requesting assistance for help on paying half of Mays rent and potentially all of Junes rent. Her rent is $850 a month, she has already paid for half of the rent of May. She is also requesting assistance to help pay their light bill. The light bill is $238 and was due on May 8th. Any assistance to help pay these bills would be very appreciated by the family!
