Parent in our program needs help with paying for front brakes and front rotors for her 2011 Nissan Altima. Parent had to use most of her saving to buy the car and to also to pay to have back brakes and back rotors replaced. Parent needs a car in order to get her daughter to school since the school she attends does not provide bus service. As of now friends and family have been helping out with getting her to school. Parent also needs the car to get back and forth to work. Any help would be much appreciated.

We are desperately asking for donations and/or someone that can provide hair care services to one of our children currently in need. Over the last few months this youth has been through a lot and is now stable enough to work on her own health and wellbeing. This youth's natural hair is currently severely damaged and we have received a quote from a local salon for $900 to fix the damage and redo her sisterlocks.
This 5 year old little boy has suffered extreme trauma and neglect throughout most of his young life. Per recommendation we have enrolled this young boy in Hip hop dance lessons in order for him to express his emotions in a positive and constructed way. Being so young we are experiencing many emotions we are not verbally able to express or understand. Hip Hop offered not only positive social interaction with peers, but also a method to express himself through motion. Not to mention it is a BIG self esteem booster for Him.
We are asking for support for the Fee associated with this class. We would like to keep him in a stable environment since most of his young life has been dysregulated and unpredictable. Please help us continue to change this little boys life for the better. Our future is a direct reflection of our youth. Thank you Jennifer Case Manager Updated on November 08, 2023 by an Agency Worker We are still in need of assistance with this. Matthew is doing so well and beginning to come out of his shell through hip hop. Placement would suffer significant hardship with our help.
Parents recently immigrated to the US with their ten children. Mother just delivered her 11th child, a baby with a significant cardiac defect. Mother does not work as she is the primary caregiver to the children. Father works as a High School Custodian and does not have a paid paternity leave. Father has been taking a non-paid leave from work to be present for delivery of the baby and the baby's cardiac surgery. Parents are struggling financially and requested assistance with their rent due to father taking a recent non-paid leave.

I am a social worker with Children's Mercy. I am helping to assist a family with accessing secure housing. Mom's lease is up and family is at risk of homelessness. Mom has found a house to move into and is able to afford rent, but is needing support with the initial deposit.
Thank you for your consideration,

The children have been in care and the parents have been working hard at completing the tasks needed to bring the children home. KVC is working under the regulations of the ICPC and are not able to have the children stay in Missouri until it is approved. This family would love to spend the holiday together and could do that if they stay in a hotel in Kansas. We would love to put them in a hotel with an indoor pool for some family memories as well. Thank you!
This family had a child die earlier this summer. The mother has worked hard to get them into a new home because being in their current home where they lost the child is too unbearable. She finally found a place but needs to settle a couple of bills before they can go.

I have a family who has been so lucky to be selected for Rose brooks Rapid Rehousing Program but needs help getting a washer and dryer. They have been fortunate to get this opportunity to have housing covered for a year. As a single mother RC has worked so hard from the beginning to the case to get sober, leave an abusive relationship, and do whatever necessary to reunify with her young sons. It has not even been a year since the case opened and she has turned her life around. She is incredible driven and self-sufficient but has asked for some assistance as the family moves into their own place for the first time!

The mother on this case was given an eviction notice and was requested to be out by October 31st, 2023. The mother was off work for 3 months due to having a broken foot and got behind on her rent. Due to her renting from her father and not having a lease agreement we are not able to assist in getting her rent paid up. The mother is trying to get a new place but has a past due bill from when she left her abuser. If this bill is paid, she will have a better chance of getting an apartment for her and her son before the October 31st deadline. This bill is an Evergy Bill.

This working, single mother is in need of a crib and crib mattress for her youngest child. Despite working full time, the budget never seems to stretch as far as one would hope with multiple children. Her youngest child has quickly outgrown the pack n play she has been using and is about to surpass the weight limit. Since safety is always the number one priority for her children, this mother knows she a crib, but cannot afford one. A crib and crib mattress will help to ensure this child has a safe sleep plan and help a single working mom.
