A mom, who's children are 7,6, and 5 and in the care of their paternal grandmother, is in the process of completing her mandatory probation in Georgia. She has been geographically separated from her children for a year and would like to transfer her probation to Colorado so that she can engage in services and visitation where her children reside. Due to a number of unexpected financial hardships, she is unable to come up with the $110 she needs to have the transfer request submitted. A Visa gift card in the amount of $110 would be a tremendous help and be a huge encouragement to her during this difficult time.Thank you in advance for your consideration!

Requesting multi-layered support for family, ongoing financial hardships and food insecurity. Single father of a 7th grade girl that gets minimal child support/assistance from her mother. He is currently employed as a ride share driver but has inconsistent work hours which directly impact the household income. Due to the varying work hours childcare/after school care is not easily accessible when school is not in session. The family was recently informed that they are no longer eligible for Medicaid or food stamps (the EBT program). The family often struggles, running low or out of essentials in between paychecks, with little extended family to assist when struggling. When speaking with the father, he is preparing for a possible move in August because of projected income struggles versus affordable rent.

A local foster family is taking in two sisters tonight and are in need of a bunk bed. They do have one twin mattresses for it and would just need one additional mattress. This would be an amazing help to the family as they welcome the girls into their home and help them feel safe in their new space.

The department is working with a 17 year old male that was previously involved in an abuse and neglect case. As a result of the trauma faced and also the family's gang involvement, he also was affiliated with that life style. He is currently in a placement that is supporting his transition out of that life and he is going through therapy to work through the abuse that he suffered. This youth has requested a amazon gift card to be able to get new clothes and shoes. As a result of this need being met he reports that he will feel more comfortable and confident in himself to create those pro-social supports with the other youth at this placement that he desperately needs and wants.

We have a single mother who is engaged in an intensive voluntary DHS case. She has been looking for employment. She found a job and was given a provisional job offer, but she needs a laptop and a printer. Client is only open to a new laptop, as she wants to ensure reliability for work and that it doesn't have any one else's personal information is on the laptop. She is open to a used printer. Walmart has windows laptops starting around $200. Wireless printers are about $55. Please be aware many newer models of laptops do not have USB ports, so a wireless printer may be needed. Client has looked into community resources and unfortunately, many grants have ended and therefore there are not programs available. The mother would like to accept the job offer by 5/14/25. So, this is a urgent need.

A 14-year-old male youth is in need of new clothes and is requesting a visa gift card to cover these items, including but not limited to pants, shirts, and shoes. He has made an Amazon wish list and is hoping to have these items as he has outgrown most of his clothes.

A mother, who's two children ( a boy, age 7 and a girl, age 1) is struggling financially at this time. Her children are placed in a kin-like home in Colorado Springs. Mom recently completed 30 days in rehab and is now trying to find work. She is very stressed about food insecurities and has days that she can only eat one meal a day. Mom would also like to be able to bring food to visits with the children, but does not have the means to do so at this time. A $250 walmart card or King Soopers card would allow her to get groceries for a couple of weeks while she continues her search for employment. A mother of a 6 yr old girl, who is placed with kin in Colorado Springs, is expected to be released from jail in Georgia on 5/10/2025 and will be returning to Colorado Springs on 5/12/2025. She has a bed reserved in Sober Living so she will have a safe place to stay. Due to having no job, she does not yet have the means to pay for her first month. A visa gift card in the amount of $450 would assist her to ensure the first month is paid as she begins her journey towards sobriety and ultimately, reunification with her daughter, who is on the autism spectrum and non-verbal. Two children ages 9 and 11 were placed in the care of their cousin. Their cousin also has a 15 year old child of their own. The family recently moved into a new home and are struggling financially so, they are not able to purchase groceries for the household. Hello, I have a mother on my caseload that just passed her 1 year sober milestone! She is employed for the first time in many years and is looking at getting her own apartment after living in sober living. she has some applications in at different apartment communities and is close on one but will need $500 to help with the first payment to get the keys. She is working and taking some college courses online and is confident that she will be able to make the payments moving forward. Any help towards this would be greatly appreciated! A dedicated foster mom has just welcomed a new placement into her home and is in need of a dresser. The child arrived with more clothing than expected, and additional storage is needed. We are seeking a donated dresser in good condition or a gift card to help offset the cost of purchasing one. The department who is working with a potential adoptive family for a 7 year old youth who has been in DHS custody almost 3 years. This youth has a family who is wanting to move forward with adoption in the coming months. Due to his trauma and diagnoses this youth can have aggressive behaviors in the home. This youth does not have a bed anymore due to his aggressive behaviors. The family is looking for any assistance that could be provided in getting this youth a new bed. Thank you.
