Hello everyone! I have a pregnant mother on my caseload who is scheduled to deliver her baby within the next month. Mom recently moved into her own place, which great!! Mom has been engaged in services and is able to show she is capable to care for her newborn. However, mom is struggling with obtaining items to furnish the family's new home. Please help this mom obtain furniture for her and her soon to be newborn. All help is greatly appreciated! Thank you for helping this mom get a kick start on her new journey!

A single mother working very hard at employment and parenting would benefit from a bus pass. This mom wakes up extra early and rides the bus taking her child to daycare and then to work. This mom has paid for bus passes prior but is need of some assistance this month.

Great grandma has kinship placement of a two years old . His newborn sibling is being placed in the home this week. She also has two grandchildren in guardianship that she does not receive any money for. Her air conditioner is not working. She has received two estimates regarding the cost. One is for total replacement which is $4500. The second one is for repairs that total $950. We would like to see if it could be repaired. The weather is getting hotter and the air conditioner is really needed.

This natural mother is working on getting her studio apartment ready for her eleven year old daughter to move in with her. She currently has a full size bed. Space is limited so we are looking for a twin size loft bed like the one attached to the following link, to put over the mothers current bed. A sibling set (2 yo female and 1 yo male) were recently brought into custody and we are placing the children in a kinship home today. We are requesting assistance with two toddler/convertible car seats so that the kinship can safely transport the children. Without the car seats, the kinship cannot take placement of the children. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Kids are being moved from non-kinship foster home to Maternal Grandparents home. Maternal grandparents are struggling financially although they are providing the kids a safe and stable home. While they currently are providing basic needs for the kids, they were able to secure bunk beds but are need of twin mattresses to prevent the children from sleeping on the floor for an extended time frame.

This amazing family welcomed a child into their home this March, but they are not receiving financial assistance from OKDHS at this time. They've faced so much this year, including losing their home and having to quickly relocate. Tragically, last month, the foster mother's ex-husband and father to her children passed away. As his next of kin, she took on the responsibility of arranging and paying for his funeral, which has left her completely depleted financially. She's now in a difficult position and doesn't even have gas money to get to work. They could really use some support to help them get by until her next payday on the 15th. Anything you could offer would be a tremendous help.

I have a newly certified foster family in need of some items for their first placement. They originally were only open to having one child placed in their home but they have opened their home to a sibling group of two children. The children are ages 3 and 4 and the family has two biological children of their own. Because they opened their home to more children than they originally planned the foster family is in need of an additional twin bed and mattress as well as a three point harness car seat.

A family of 5 is needing help to preserve a safe home environment. They are in need of two twin beds preferably bunk beds and one toddler bed with all the bedding. The children are 10 male, 8 female, 4 male.

This family consist of 4 children living with their young, single mother who has been completing our home visiting program to increase her parenting skills and the safety of her home. The ages of the children are 8, a set of 5 year old twins, and a 7 month old baby. She is needing some basic items to help take steps toward ensuring the safety of all four children. The baby is starting to be very mobile, and the family has stairs in their apartment, so they are needing two baby gates for the top and the bottom of the stairs to protect the infant. For the "various baby supplies", the baby is needing a baby play pen so that he has a safe place to play without harm from the rodent traps. The family has been struggling with mice infestation, and mom has placed traps around the home to try and contain the problem, but it is not safe for the baby who is wanting to crawl and move around. A play pen would allow the baby the space to learn to crawl and explore in a safe environment. ANY assistance is helpful!!!!!!!

A young mother of an infant is working a prevention case with OKDHS. She just moved into a new apartment with her infant as she works on gaining independence from a domestic violence situation. She is engaged in services and working to correct conditions for her child. This young mother's recent move has strained her finances severely. This young mother needs help paying her rent deposit.
