She needs a Sarasota County bus pass for one month to get to doctor’s appointments, community resources, and job registration opportunities. The pass will also help her attend GED prep and career training, working toward stable employment. This support will directly benefit her daughter by helping their family regain financial stability, access vital services, and build a stronger, more secure future. Single mother going through a divorce suffered an injury at work. Mother has been unable to work, and living on workers compensation. 10 and 4 year old boys in the home. Mom reports the four year old has a cousin that gives hand me downs, but the 10 year old does not, and is in need of clothing for summer. Mom requested two nice dress sets (shirt and shorts or slacks) to wear to church. The 10 year old boy also needs new sneakers and sandals. The Reunification Team has been working with a single dad who has been an absolute delight to work with. The father was recently reunified with his two young children, (3-year-old daughter and 4-year-old boy.) The father is in need of a car seat for both children and some clothing due to the children outgrowing what they had while in foster care. Normally the RT would refer a parent to a local car seat training where they would receive valuable car seat training information and be able to purchase a car seat at a very minimal cost. Due to the father's work schedule and being a delivery driver, he is limited in his daytime availability to attend any upcoming car seat trainings. The father always expresses his gratitude for any type of assistance that has been provided, and I am sure he will be grateful for any items that can be provided related to this request. Thank you!

Single mother of five has not had transportation for quite some time, and has no washer or dryer in her home. Due to many factors, including a high risk teen in the home, the mother has been unable to find a ride to the laundry mat and take the time to get caught up on the household laundry. As a one time assistance, we would like to request a laundry services for the family. There is approximately 100 lbs of laundry, most laundry services in the area are 1.50 per pound. I will be working with the family to organize and prioritize laundry in the future.

Helping a Young Girl and Her Disabled Father Build a Safe, Stable Home A single, disabled father has been living out of his car with his young daughter for the past year, facing unimaginable challenges while doing everything he can to care for her. Thanks to the kindness of a friend who successfully bid on a trailer for them in a local park, they now have the opportunity to move into a permanent, safe home. This is a critical turning point for both father and daughter — especially the child, who will finally have a stable place to sleep, play, and grow. However, they have very little in the way of household furnishings or essentials. The father is currently on a limited income, relying on Social Security benefits and cash assistance, with plans to file for child support once they are settled. These items are what is needed to put a family back together. Any assistance would be appreciated.

This is a request to support a single mother and 10-year-old child who are survivors of domestic violence as they move to a new apartment. This move is critical for the safety and well-being of both the mother and her child. The family has already arranged help for packing and moving support through People Power. At this point, their only remaining need is access to a truck to transport their belongings. This family is approaching the finish line on their journey to a new and safe life. If you are able to assist or know someone who can, your help would be greatly appreciated. A mother and her 2 children just moved into a rental home and have little furniture. They were not able to bring most tangible items other than clothing from the move. The family could use a couch, specifically brown.

The youth is a 17-year-old child currently placed in LFC. The youth recently informed case management that she needs toiletry and clothing items such as socks, body wash, etc. The youth requested a target gift card so that she may purchase these items herself. The youth has a part time job and is currently saving up money to buy a car. She is independent and studious but requires additional assistance to meet self-care needs.

A survivor of domestic violence is struggling to support her children now that her partner has left the country. This mother is here with little to no family support and needing connections and supplies to cover the needs of the children. One of the children is medically fragile and requires a lot of medical appointments, so for now a lot of her extra finances are covering travel to those medical appointments. support with the cost of diapers for her two children a chair that she can use to sit the child who cannot sit independently yet will be a great help.

A foster family is taking placement of an eight-month old boy and they are needing formula for him and some clothing. He is on Alimentum.

Single mother of 4 with 1 on the way is working toward providing her family a safe space. She is working with community partners to grow as a person and as a mother. She has requested assistance from this Writer and her CPS worker in obtaining beds for the kids. The DCF worker has determined that it would be best to obtain 2 full size beds rather than creating safety risk to these vulnerable children with bunk beds. The DCF worker has requested Writer assist in asking the community for help in this request.

We are requesting: 2x full beds frames (if possible), 2x mattresses, 2x mattress protectors. Writer is also requesting a barbie toy for the eldest child who is diagnosed with Autism.
