We are requesting help for A grandmother that has taken in 4 of her grandchildren, ages ranging 2-11. She is needing support with getting things like dressers, clothing, shoes, and groceries as the cost of four children is big. Any form of gift cards to King Soopers or Walmart would be immensely appreciated. This is the only kinship placement available for this group of siblings and we are working hard to keep these kids with their family! Thank you!

A grandmother is supporting her 9 grandchildren and is working to become certified to care for her youngest grandchild who is 1 year old. She is needing support with food, clothing, diapers, and formula as the family has experienced sickness and a car accident in the last 30 days. A gift card to support the 1 year old would be extremely helpful as the family is waiting for benefits to begin to support them.

A single foster parent took placement of a sibling set of four children in order for them to all remain together in the same home. They have had little experiences in their life and the foster mother is trying to get them engaged in new activities and things they have requested to be involved in. This will help expand their social skills, communication, and making new friends while learning new skills. Below is a summary of each request and any help would be appreciated for this group! She understands that all these requests might not be met and appreciates any help in getting these kids involved in activities they have expressed they want to try or do! 1- They are starting Taekwondo officially today after doing a trial class Monday. It is $179 per month; Cobbled Streets is willing to help pay for the first 3 weeks and then two more months, so we are looking for someone who can pay the $179 for 3 kids (4 if the youngest ends up joining- he was too afraid Monday.) after that starting the month of September 2022, or a portion of it monthly; hoping we can get enough donors to cover the year. I am talking to the dojo tonight to see if they will do more of a discount. 2- We are looking for 5-10 AWESOME nerf guns and extra darts for a lot of fun play (asking for more than 5 so the kids can have their friends join when they all come over.) 3- laser tag set - it looks like they only come in sets of 4, so would need two sets- they would have such a blast with these! 4- 4 tickets for Urban Air- two all day big kid passes and 2 for children 5 and under 5 - 4 for sky zone for one day if we can! 6 - 4 all day passes for Defy 7 - Boys Basketball Camp! July 25-29. This would only be for the oldest boy who is 8 and so excited to have the opportunity to go!

Youth is an immigrant from a latin american country and has been in the US for a short period of time and therefore not too familiar with his community and activities to participate in. His team composed of a mentor, attorney, pre-trial case manager and DHS case workers are finding healthy activities for youth to participate in during the summer when school is out. Youth had been involved in a criminal activity that led him to juvenile facility and is hoping to stay out of trouble and engage in healthy activities. Youth stated that he has been drawing on his spare time and is hoping to enhance his artistic abilities. Art supplies of any sort would be greatly appreciated and do not need to be limited to the kit included in this request. Here is a link to an art kit:

This request is to help a single kinship provider that unexpectedly received 4 young children -two 9 year olds, and two 5 MONTH old babies as a part of a family involving Native American ancestry. Since being able to be a placement provider in this unexpected manner, the kinship provider has struggled with the ongoing cost of care of maintaining her housing, transportation, and the food budget for the family household. She has received support to help care for these children through multiple community supports early March. The family would appreciate and greatly benefit from any support to help ensure that the children are able to grow and thrive through accessibility to any support that is able to be provided.

We are requesting support for this Dad, Stepmom, and a 2-year old male just moved into a new apartment after staying with family and friends and eventually motels for the past 2 months. The lack of housing was due to the rise in rentals in the Denver area. The old apartment was no longer safe and they needed to vacate. Dad works a full-time job and stepmom is currently pregnant and provides care for the 2 year old. The circumstances that lead to this hardship were completely out of their hands. It was one bad event after another and it was difficult to navigate work and life emergencies. There is a lack of social supports and family is not in positions to help. The department has provided for immediate needs and they are still in need of a few items. The 2 year old just got a new bed and he needs twin bedding. Stepmom needs maternity clothing, and they all need personal hygiene items. The request is for $400 for Walmart so the family can go shopping for what they need. This caseworker will deliver to family for this request.

Foster parents secured a $10,000 secured loan and are seeking a reliable and safe Car for a teen in their home, who just turned 15 years old and received his driver’s permit. This teen is an amazing person and very deserving of positive support towards independence. Next month will mark his 5th year in foster kindness. Teen is a transgender male and encourages others to be uniquely themselves. According to Foster mom, He is fiercely loyal and fights for fairness and equity in all forms. He has been a strong advocate for foster children rights and continues to support the multiple “foster siblings” in the home, and they are very proud of him. Foster parents are looking to see if anyone is selling a reliable car or knows someone who is to share the details. Thank you for your help in this matter.

We are requesting support for a single Dad who is caring for 3 daughters -11, 9 and 7 years old. He has limited income due to his disability. He is able to support his family with the basic needs like shelter and food. He was homeless for 7 years prior to gaining custody of his children 3 years ago. Since then he is trying to ask and accept help where necessary. 2 of the younger girls are sleeping on air mattress and would love to be able to have real mattresses if possible with pretty bedding or just bedding. They already have twin bed frames. Their father is also in need of mattress for his queen sized bed frame. The family can benefit from having living room furniture as well, currently using bean bags. They have patio chairs that they use for dining. Although they have desks in their respective rooms, they do not have desk chairs and use bins to seat on at this time. Dad home schools the children but during the summer it is difficult, so having access to comfortable seats at their desk will be useful for their learning. I know it seems like a lot, but together I believe we can help with 1 queen/3 twin Mattresses, couch, dinning set with chairs (bench would be idea), and household items dishes, towels, etc.
