A kinship home has taken in a young boy who is a half sibling to one of the spouses. The siblings had not met until last year, at which time they requested guardianship of the child as he was being noticiably neglected in the other home. While they have been able to provide him with adequate food, shelter, clothing, and a loving 3 year old baby brother, he is currently needing to be supervised at all times, especially when with his younger brother. The family is requesting assistance in getting 4 cameras for their home to ensure that their children are safe at all times. They are also requesting door chimes so that they can be aware of each child's needs, even in the middle of the night.

Family involved in an open voluntary case with DHS for support and services. The family is very poverty. Father is undocumented which has slowed down the process of getting help and assistance for the children who were born in the US. The family now has a very small apartment with the help of DHS, however the children have very min. clothing; maybe one or two outfits only for each child. The have a kitchen table, a couch and they sleep on mattress on the floor and share two mattresses. I am looking for clothing items so that the children can wear those new things to school to help minimize the school bullying and to help the children's well being.

A kinship parent is making a request for a new baby monitor due to her current one starting to malfunction. She has a specific request for one due to its features and writes the following:
"I need to be able to see him since he generally lies awake (just chillin’) for 30-60 minutes before and after sleep time…sometimes up to 2 hours! Lol! Don’t worry, I have spoken to Dr. [redacted] about it a few times. My current monitor recently started having issues and only works intermittently. This one costs less than the one I have now and has better range and better reviews. As an added bonus it has 2 way audio so I can talk to him thru the monitor."
[Newly Upgraded] VTech VM350-2 Video Monitor with Battery supports 12-hr Video-mode, 21-hr Audio-mode, 5" Screen, 2 Cameras, 1000ft Long Range, Bright Night Vision, 2-WayTalk, Auto-onScreen, Lullabies

We have a foster family who is working with a biological father who has some mental instability. The case is moving toward TPR and there is some concern that the dad's manic behavior may escalate as we get closer. The family does not have the money to purchase an alarm system for their home but they feel that having one would help them feel more secure. They are caring for a beautiful little girl and they want to do whatever they can to keep her safe from harm.

A family in the Fruita community could really use some help with obtaining a few items to help with their home cleanliness. Those items include laundry baskets, new dishes and cooking supplies, shoe organizers and bedding (Sheets, bed covers, blankets, pillows). The condition of the home is really not the best and we are actively working towards changing this. If anyone in the community has experience with assisting families with cleaning or building cleaning schedules that would go a long way! This family has been on the cusp of having their children removed due to the conditions of the home. This family really needs a village around them for the support, assistance and experienced parents.

It's that time of year again when Back to School Signs and marketing are starting to roll out! I am working with a family and the oldest sibling has asked for some back to school clothing since they didn't stop growing over the summer time! If you are out an about getting your own children things for back to school please keep this family in mind, even a $20 gift card to a clothing store would seriously go a long way! Ideally if we could get $200 per child for back to school clothing that would be awesome!
