A family in our community is in need of 2 twin size beds and one king/queen size bed. The family has recently experienced SWAT raid and during the raid all the bedding and beds were sprayed with tear gas and now they are unusable. The family will hopefully be moving back into their home soon, so they are in desperate need of beds!

Help Prevent a Child From Entering Foster Care

Critical Request
A family in Fruita is needing help with renting a roll-away dumpster due to their yard and outdoor spaces being unsafe for the children in the home. We are addressing the families hoarding habits but they are in need of a dumpster to be able to get the house and yard in order. This will significantly help the family be able to move on and work towards their goals.

This family of 5, with three girls aged 12, 13, and 15. The 15 year old girl is currently working to figure out who she is as an individual, as well as a part of the family unit. As the oldest of the children, she often expresses the need for her own safe space within her bedroom to calm down, have alone time, and be her own individual self. The family has been having issues lately where the other girls will go into the 15 year old's room and use/take her stuff. This has become an ongoing problem with the family and has started to cause problems by starting escalated fights between the 15 year old and the rest of the family. The family is asking for financial assistance to buy a door knob with a lock on it so that the 15 year old can know that her room and the stuff in her room is safe so that this can remain a safe space for her.

Tyler: Spectrum Internet Assist is free for anyone with children receiving free or reduced hot lunch. It used to be $17.99, but there was some federal funding in the cares act that pays for the install and the monthly service. Here is the # to call/web site: Enroll at Spectrum.net/optin or call 1-(###) ###-####

High Urgency Request
Summer Time is finally here! The kids are going to be out of school within the week and summer camps are fastly approaching! I have been working with a family who has worked extremely hard to maintain a safe and stable home throughout the school year. The children are very interested in pursuing some summer camps while school is out. However, these camps are not cheap and this is a low-income family making it more challenging for the children to participate in. Each of the children have picked out summer camps such as soccer, basketball as well as math and science camps but they need assistance paying for these camps. These camps fees and registration are all due this week! If you could help sponsor a child to participate in a camp that would be very appreciated! These children have worked so hard throughout the school year going to therapy and support groups and would love nothing more than to watch them have fun and be children during the summer time!
