The family consists of the primary care giver and his three young children ages 5, 4 and 2. He does not work outside of the home as he care for his children on a consistent basis. The families income is limited and therefore does not have extra money to purchase the bed. Currently the three children share a bunkbed and the children would benefit for each child to have their own bed. The family is requesting a new twin frame and mattress for the 5 year old as well as a Paw Patrol bedding set.
In addition, the family is requesting a car booster seat (with no back) for the 5 year old.
*New items please.

I have a Twin Bed Frame (adjustable from 40x70 inches - 46x70 inches) I'd be glad to donate. (Used but good condition.)

Constance Free Church can provide these items. I need an address to coordinate shipping and delivery. Is the Paw Patrol request for a girl or a boy? There is pink for girl and blue or red for a boy. Please let me know and I will move forward as the leader of this need.
ACSS began working with this family of 5 this past summer on a Voluntary Basis due to educational concerns and needing assistance with mental health resources. The family home was condemned in July 2023 and the family had to leave everything behind. They family was able to move into a 2 bedroom apartment. Although both parents are employed, finances are still a struggle. Assisting this family in obtaining beds to sleep on will not only ease that financial struggle, but allow the children a safe and comfortable place to sleep as well as the parents.
The family reported that they are okay the bed frames being gently used, but would prefer new mattress/sheets. They also reported that the children's beds can be the priority.
New items only are requested.

Jill:
Constance Free Church is able to refer this family to My Very Own Bed for Dream Kits which include everything needed for twin beds. I would need to talk with a parent over the phone to be able to fill out paperwork to refer. I may be able to help with the queen bed from Bridging if needed. I won't be able to help with the bunk bed frame. Please ask if the family can contact me or release their contact information to me. Jill Discher(###) ###-####

Amber said they didn't need queen bedding. I referred her to Bridging for queen mattress and platform They are going to pick it up themselves. I believe this is complete once MVOB delivers the Dream kits for the kids. MVOB let me know they accepted referral and are working on delivery.
I have 3 children on my caseload who are staying with their grandmother as their mother is homeless. Their grandmother lives in Maplewood (Ramsey County) and is on a limited, fixed income. She needs help with cold weather clothing for her grandchildren. Gently used items are welcome.

Family of five requests a double stroller. Both parents are out of work at present. One of the children has Trisomy 21 and so has special needs which can mean added expenses. Mother is a bit overwhelmed and would really like a double stroller so she can take the child with special needs and her 18 month child out together. Client would prefer the type of stroller where one child is in front and the other in back which is comfortable for sleeping in and that folds easily if possible.
PLEASE NOTE: Client actually lives in 55412 Minneapolis in Hennepin County.
Mark:
Mark will donate the front/back seat-style Double Stroller. (Donation came from RiverLife Church, St.Paul/Champlin) and is arranging drop off details w/ Social Worker.
