Two children, female 5 and male 2, are currently placed with mother, under family maintenance services. The mother is currently facing housing instability and is temporarily housed in a motel room with the two children. The mother has no transportation other than public transportation. The mother is required to participate in ongoing services in order to satisfactorily completing her child welfare obligations which requires her to use public transportation with all of the children in tow. The Department is hopeful a double stroller make it less challenging to use public transportation with the children.

Our clinic is running low on basic supplies to give new mothers when baby comes. We assemble layette bags to gift to new moms and offer continued practical support until their child reaches 2 years of age. Most of our mothers are members of the community struggling to make ends meet, trying to navigate insurance, and figure out how to prepare for the arrival of their child. We could use help with acquiring newborn diapers as well as a few other sizes, clothing, pacifiers, and bottles. We have assembled an Amazon wish list (Go To Link listing some of our needs as we help our moms prepare for their new babies and the moms who come back for support as their baby grows.

The family came to the attention of CFS due to their 7 week old infant falling out of their bassinet. Their current bassinet has a zipper feature which is not secure for the infant that has started to roll.

This family is requesting shoes as they have limited financial stability to purchase shoes on their own. The family walks a lot as they are unable to drive nor have a vehicle to maneuver so they rely heavily on public transportation and walking.
