Vietnamese speaking couple delivered twin boys prematurely! Parents do not have a safe sleep arrangement for the babies and are in need of two separate safe sleep arrangements for their babies. The babies are in the ICN at this time and will be for the next two weeks. Parents are requesting safe sleep support to ensure that their preemie babies are safe when they head home! (Social worker request because of language barriers items be dropped at the hospital where they have translation help.)

LDSS is working with a single mother of four children, who has recently secured her own housing. Previously the family was living in a two-bedroom home with a relative and all the children shared one bed. LDSS is requesting a bed and mattress for the children to help support the mother in her new home.

I am working with a sweet family composed of a single mom, her grandparents, and her three children ages 10, 3, and 9 months. Recently, this family has had their food stamps stolen three times. This is both frustrating and disheartening for the family as food is essential. Although they are utilizing food banks/pantries while they get their food stamp cards sorted out, I would love to provide them with groceries delivered to their home. The client is a newly single mother with two children, ages 1 and 9. She has recently started working again but is seeking assistance in getting furniture for their home. She shared that she is in need of a new bed.

A young adult single mother of one has just moved into Section 8 housing and is behind on her electric bill. She has been working with intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals as a Direct Support Professional for the last four years. Although she loves her part time job, she cannot afford to provide for her family with the limited hours that she work and she is looking for a secondary job to straighten out her families' financial needs. This young woman has been encouraged by the provision that other members of her family have received through CarePortal, and is hopeful that the same community care can be afforded to herself in this time of need as well. single mom who is has a 7-year-old son is struggling financially. She just started a new job but needs help towards getting her car inspected. She needs 4 tires and an alignment to pass inspection so she can get to work and take her son to school as main priorities. Any funds towards this need she would be so grateful for. Parents have recently delivered a baby prematurely and are working to compile resources for her discharge home. Baby is in need of a car seat (that goes down to 4 lbs) and preemie clothes, which the family has been having a hard time finding! This family is really looking forward to taking their baby home in a couple of weeks!

This request would serve 3 children, one teenager with cerebral palsy and two children under 10. There are some large items in the house, including broken furniture, that creates a safety risk for the children. The parents have no vehicle to remove these items and tend to work opposite schedules, making it difficult for them to have enough help moving the items. We are asking for assistance from someone with a vehicle that can accommodate large items, preferably a truck, and possibly for help loading these items up so that the family can get them removed from the home.

A parent of a child at our school's food stamps were a part of a scam and she is unable to get formula for the younger sibling. We are looking for 6 cans (or whatever amount you can provide) of Parent's Choice (walmart) brand of Simulac Sensitive for a 7 month old sibling ASAP. The Mother is also trying to get groceries from local food banks and support systems but is struggling to find formula options- this will help the family be able to provide for their children.

Single caretaker who is raising her nephew, aged 5. Is extremely behind on her mortgage payment (approximately $8,000), facing foreclosure which would result in homelessness of the family. Caretaker has a full-time job and is doing the best she can to provide for her family. Understanding that $8,000 is a lot, any amount of support would help.
