Help Make a Foster Care Placement
Chautauqua County has a 3 year old special needs child. The child was placed in a foster home; however, that foster home was unable to properly provide the level of care that this child needed and requested that he be moved. At this time because of the child's needs, Chautauqua County is having a difficult time finding a placement for him. This little guy has a feeding tube as he cannot have anything orally. He also is non verbal and is not mobile. Chautauqua County has located a temporary placement; however, the foster home is in need of some basic supplies to assist with his every day care. They are in need of a crib, jogging stroller, and a high chair. If these items are obtained, it would make caring for him much easier as we want this family to be able to care for him until a more permanent home is found for him. A jogging stroller is being requested as he does constantly rock back and forth, and the family believes that he would be less likely to tip it over. All items will follow this little guy.

Help Reunify a Bio Family
I am putting in this request today for a mother and adult sibling who are in urgent need of cleaning supplies and pest control supplies and do not currently have the necessary funds to buy these items. They are in need of heavy duty garbage bags, a mop, a mop bucket, all purpose cleaner spray with bleach, cleaning rags/sponges/paper towels, floor cleaner for the mop, roach/bug bombs(Raid), indoor insect spray(Ortho or similar). The two younger children/siblings were temporarily moved to a family members home and cannot return to mother's home until it is fully cleaned and re-inspected. The mother has a medical condition which makes it difficult for her to keep up with the cleaning but the adult sibling and his friends have agreed to clean the home to get it back in order. A case is open involving an infant with high medical needs to prevent foster care. A friend of this child's young mother has petitioned the court for custody and is currently caring for the infant. Due to the young mothers untreated mental health and substance misuse, she lacks the skills and support necessary to care for this medically fragile infant. The friend and potential custodian has been caring for the child for several months and is in need of a crib, and a dresser for the child while she is caring for her. Help Make an Adoptive Placement
Two children, in the custody of another State, were placed with their maternal Aunt. The youngest child has moderate to severe Autism, and receives numerous services weekly. The Aunt, who works in the healthcare field, has been unable to remain employed, as sourcing childcare capable of meeting the child's specific needs was difficult to secure. The Department has assisted, and still struggled to meet this need. Appropriate daycare has now been found, and the Aunt is returning to work. She is a single-parent household, and is in the process of adopting her niece and nephew. As a result of her lack of work, she has fallen behind on her care payments, and is facing repossession of the vehicle (with fines). Her car payment is $604/m (2019 Honda Fit). Any help would be greatly appreciated! She is a hard-working, loving caretaker, and has stepped up to the plate to take on this responsibility. Chautauqua County is lucky to have her as an asset, and the children have thrived while in her care. Both have experienced trauma- there is not a more appropriate placement than with this relative.
