mom of two boys aged 14 and 10 desperately needs help cleaning her home and getting it up to community standards. Mom's house was condemned for being a hazard. She fixed the main concerns, and the house was uncondemned, but she still needs help cleaning the inside and outside of home. She has no cleaning supplies, and no vacuum. The carpet is very dirty with suspected animal urine and dog hair. There is a vacuum at Walmart for $25 that mom could use to clean the carpet.

A great aunt has just taken in her niece and nephew temporarily and needs assistance with bedding and clothing for one of the children. The family is looking for a foldable twin bed as space in the home is limited as well as size 10/12 clothes for a girl, as she did not have much when she came to the aunt.
Widow dad of 5 kids needs help with home repairs. Dad is employed but it appears he lacks the ability to complete the home repairs due to mental health issues. There are holes in the drywall, issues with cleanliness, doors need repairs, windows need repairs, floors need repair and walls need to be painting due to peeling issues.

Married couple that does not have a suitable family support system needs to locate a supervisor/parent aid for the court ordered supervised visitation. The family does not have anyone that can supervise the visits. They have two children that are in care age 2 months and 1 years old. The supervisor/parent aid is responsible for transporting the children to and from the visit. The supervisor/parent aid would monitor the visit and make suggestions regarding parenting skills. We are looking for funding to cover this cost or someone who would be willing to do the weekly supervised visits.

We have a single mother who is caring for her two children ages 10 and 13. Their home has been condemned due the cluttered conditions of the residence. The family would benefit from a haul away dumpster service as they are needing to declutter their home and get rid of a lot of items. If the family is able to clean their home and get rid of unnecessary items, they will be able to return to the residence and prevent the children from being placed in foster care. The mother does not have a working vacuum cleaner and needs ways to deep clean the carpet and surfaces. Any portion of the request would be greatly appreciated.

Based on local estimates, a 20 yard dumpster can be rented for $435 for 4-7 days through All Dump Dumpster. A smaller dumpster for a cheaper cost would still be greatly appreciated as well.

I have a family of three that has been homeless for several weeks and they have found a place to live but need assistance with the down payment. The family is needing $840 for their down payment to be able to get off the streets.
Help a teenage boy have an outlet to exhaust his overwhelming emotions. Child was recently suspended from school due to behaviors and is now enrolled in a homeschool program. The child has many big emotions and behaviors that he struggles to find an outlet for, but has found a way of coping in basketball. Having a basketball and basketball hoop at the home will help the child have that outlet easily accessible when he begins to feel those big emotions coming on.
Help a child who is quickly becoming mobile have a safe place to explore and grow. Mom recently moved into her own home and is in need of a vacuum to help keep the floor clean so baby can crawl and play without the worry of her putting small objects from the floor in her mouth.
I am currently working with a single mother who is struggling to make ends meet. She has two children and is working many extra hours to try and pay all her bills to keep the children in the home. She reached out to me recently because she is in fear of her electricity being shut off soon. If there was anyone who would be willing to help her cover a month or two so she could save enough to be back on track, it would be very appreciated!

Grandmother has temporary guardianship of her 5 grandchildren, and is needing assistance with the fees associated with filing for legal guardianship. Bio mother is non-compliant with Children's Division and guardianship with grandparents is in the best interest of the children. Due to taking on 5 children in addition to her 2 children that still live at home, grandma is having to find new housing that will accommodate all, which is putting the family in a financial hardship. Grandma is needing assistance with funding the guardianship. Children's Division has been in contact with an attorney whom stated the guardianship for all 5 children will be estimated $2000, any help is appreciated by the family.

This doesn't help with immediate cash needs, but ParentLink can assist with longer-term supports and challenges. ParentLink provides no-cost assistance to all Missouri families, with kinship care being one of the specialty areas. ParentLink's kinship navigators can help this grandmother identify all of the supports she qualifies for, will help her get connected with these supports, and may even be able to connect her with some pro bono legal advisement. If the grandmother can call the KIN-4-KID line at 833-KIN 4 KID (eight three three - KIN-four-Kid), Kelsey or Mendy will put her in touch with a kinship navigator. Alternately, the Kinship Care team would be glad to reach out to the grandmother if she prefers. The toll free number and information can also be found on the ParentLink website, at https://parentlink.missouri.edu/.

Two children, an 11 year old boy and 9 year old boy, came into foster care late Friday evening. The boys had no items but the clothes they were wearing. Numerous foster homes were called but none could be placement due to the 9 year old's Special needs, as he wears pullups and is unable to go to the bathroom by himself due to a birth defect. An uncle has been found that has the space for the boys has been found and he and his fiancé (they also have 2 children) agreed to take the kids in. However, they are in a pretty tight situation financially and need some assistance to get them in their home and fully meet the children's needs. The temporary foster placement can only keep the boys until tomorrow 1/30, so we are hoping to get the boys with the uncle by tomorrow when they get out of school.
The family needs help with groceries such a cereal, any canned goods, peanut butter, bread, lunch meat, or any non perishable items.
The boys also need clothing, they are roughly the same size. Their sizes are: Boys XL in pants, Men's Medium in shirts, Men's medium in underwear. They needs things like sweat shirts and sweat pants, T-shirts, socks, and underwear. The 9yr old is in need of pull ups and wipes he fits in a Men's Depends in size small. The uncle has recently become unemployed and searching for work, but unfortunately this has put them behind on the past months utility bills, electric bill of $378.03 and gas bill of $260 they need assistance with.
Currently there are no foster homes that can take these boys. Assistance with these items will help make this relative foster home placement possible and give these kids a home that meets their needs. Thank you!

A single mother with a 6 month and 2 year old, this family recently moved in with the grandmother, (who is also caring for another child). or they would have been homeless. When the family moved in they were unaware that the grandmother's house was infested with bedbugs until shortly after staying there her children began getting bites. The mother is the only one working in the home providing for the family so they are unable to pay the large cost to have the home exterminated.
If the home was free from bedbugs, the family and children would be able to move freely throughout the home (instead of limiting them to one room) which would enhance the children's development by allowing the infant to be placed on the floor and explore her surroundings. It would allow the older child to explore and participate in activities. It would also allow caseworkers to have in home visits to further assist in parenting skills and allow for observation of parent/child interaction. It would also provide the family to remain in the home where they have lived now for 6 months. It would also help the family not have to look for alternative living space that her children are unfamiliar with. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
