The family includes a child receiving services through the Early Intervention Program. The family recently moved to Albany and has not been able to furnish their apartment. The family is requesting a couch. The family is appreciative of any assistance they receive.

I am currently working with a single mother that has recently moved into her own apartment in Schenectady County. The department is currently working with mom on reunification with her 16 year old son that is currently in foster care. She is in need of a bunk beds (due to an older child residing in the home) for the 16 year old to sleep. Also, the youth is in need of a dresser. Any assistance you could provide this family would greatly be appreciated.

A mother and child recently re-located and are in need of a toddler bed for the child and storage bins for the mother and child's clothing.

Mom currently has 2 children, a son aged 4 and a daughter aged 5, who are in foster care. There is no contact with the bio father. Mom is re-married but currently has no contact with her husband. Mom is looking for summer clothing for the child residing in the home, sizes 18-24 months. This will help mom financially as she is on a limited budget and is currently the only parent providing for the child.

Items Needed:: Toddler girl clothing sizes 18-24 months. Specifically looking for summer clothes such as shorts, t-shirts, dresses, short sleeve onesies and bathing suit(s). A gift card to Walmart will work too if necessary.

This is a single mother providing for 4 children in a small two-bedroom apartment. She works full time and struggles to maintain a clean and stable home for the kids. She has twins; a boy and girl age 9, and an 8-year-old female and another 6-year-old male. She is in need of multiple items to help with organizing her home like plastic storage drawers and basic organizational tubs etc. She does not want too much furniture at this time as she is looking to move into a large apartment space. She does need sneakers for the children as they are wearing winter boots still or slippers. The size for the older children is 3 (two girls and one boy). The size for the youngest boy is 1.5. She struggles financially to do laundry, so providing a gift card to a laundromat would be helpful. She reports that at times her children miss school because she doesn't have clean clothes for them to wear.

This family consists of a mom and her 2 children - a girl age 7 and a boy age 4. The family moved into their apartment about 3 months ago after being in a homeless shelter. The mom spent her resources on furnishing the children's room and is now in need of furniture for the common areas of the home. The family is requesting a couch for their living room, a dining table and chairs, and a tv stand.

This family consists of a single Mother is raising her 2 daughters by herself. She has worked very hard to obtain stability for herself and her daughters. The family lived in shelter for a long time and are now happily in a home. Mom admitted that she has been so busy getting her girls in a stable environment that she has not had any clothes for herself in years. She was been wearing the same pants (1 pair) for several years. Having some clothes would help her feel better about herself. The mom is requesting black pants size 12, pastel colored tops size medium, sports bras size medium or large, underwear size medium or 12, and a house dress size medium/large. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mom is requesting a bed frame. She is currently sleeping on a box spring and two twin mattresses. Mom is asking for an adjustable frame to support he mattress size of 2 twin mattresses.

We have a family of 4 composed of a single mother, an 8-year-old boy, a 5-year-old girl, and a 5-month-old boy. The mother is working really long hours trying to provide for her children. Mom needs a bunk bed for the children because they are currently sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Mom would really like a comfortable place for her children to sleep. Items requested: 2 sets of twin sized sheets (1 boy, 1 girl), 2 twin size comforters (1 boy, 1 girl), 2 pillows, two twin mattresses and one twin over twin bunk bed frame.

The mother is working on providing necessities for her children. The three younger childrens' father recently went to jail. The mother is physically disabled at the moment and is waiting to have surgery on her hip and knee, so she is unable to work at this time. Mother is a victim of domestic violence. The one year old child needs a crib and a mattress for the crib, as both are falling apart. The crib is unstable and the mattress has springs coming through it. The two young boys need twin beds and mattresses or bunk beds, as their beds are also falling apart and are toddler size so they have outgrown them. The older boy needs a full size bed and mattress due to his size. He just has a small mattress on the floor. The children also need dressers to put their clothes in. So a request for 4 small dressers also or 2 small ones and one large one (for the two young boys to share. The bedrooms are small. The two boys share a bedroom, the older boy has a small bedroom and the baby is in the livingroom. The mother could also use a cart with wheels on it for transporting groceries from the store to their apartment.

There is a mother who gave birth to a baby girl in December of 2024. The mother is not mentally capable to take care of a child. A family member is going to obtain custody of the child to avoid foster care. The family member has custody of the mom’s other three children. The family member is obtaining custody of the child to keep all four siblings together. The family member works three job to provide for her family. The family member needs additional support to help get the child situated in her care. The family member needs additional support with Huggies diapers size 3, Huggies wipes, a spring jacket 6-9 months, size 6-9 month pants, 6-9 month shirts, a bouncer, and a high chair.

This family is in need of dressers to store clothing. Clothes are stored in laundry bags. these laundry bass are sitting in a shopping cart in the living area of the home. Family is asking for dressers to store clothes and make the home more functional. Mom was made aware that in case the dresser may need to be assembled and has agreed to assemble them. The dressers if needed to be put together mom can do this.
