Shepherd Community

A kind, caring mother and father are humbly asking the community to assist them with pressing, tangible needs. The father has suffered setbacks in his life, but is committed to becoming a provider for his children and family. He is experiencing difficulty with housing and needs a tent, camp stove, a sleeping bag and a twin-sized air mattress. This will greatly assist with his housing situation. The mother is need of kitchenware storage space. The mother and father have great co-parenting relationship and love their two young children. We ask the community to help this family continue their great progress towards building a new life and home for their children.

Family Friend and neighbor took in five children in the middle of the night. The family has found their budget being stretched and are unable to purchase a medicine lock box and a fire extinguisher. If the family is unable to obtain these items through care portal, the family would have to choose between obtaining the items for safety or feeding the home.

Child was recently placed in a kinship placement. Child is in need of a dresser and bedding to support her ability to remain in the home and have her needs met. Child would use the dresser for clothes that are unable to be hung. Child is a teenage female and does not have a particular style, just something that is age appropriate.

We are humbly asking the community to assist a very warm and resilient family in obtaining kitchenware, blankets and bedding for their children. The mother and father are married and regular churchgoers and have five very polite and thoughtful children. The family recently experienced flooding in their basement which ruined most of the bedding and blankets. The family will greatly appreciate the much-needed assistance from the generous community they have called home for many years.

Grandparents are placement for their 2 granddaughters, ages 9 and 10. They are requesting assistance with clothing and shoes. The sizes are below

9-year-old clothing: 7/8 9-year-old shoes: 1 10-year-old clothing: 10/12 10-year-old shoes: 5.5

We are appealing to the community to help a tight-knit family stay together and help set them up for success. A teenage brother and sister love their mother, who works very hard to provide for them after tragically losing their father. The children are very polite, friendly and looking forward to being of age to be able to help their mother and family. The teenage boy loves welding and wants to make a career in that field. He is also open to apprenticeship and mentoring from experts. The teenage girl loves to sing and entertain family and friends. This appeal is for welding supplies, educational material and musical device which the children would love to have to be able to further explore their talents and passions.

I am working with a single father who got his children back (8 year old boy and 4 year old girl) in December and we are getting close to closing the case. He would really benefit from some Uber or Lyft gift cards so that father can take his daughter to daycare and get to work on time. He usually takes the bus, but it has not been getting him there in time. He is able to afford Lyfts/Ubers sometimes, but does not always have the money. Father's schedule will be changing once summer starts and this will no longer be an issue.
