M has been staying in a CYFD office off and on while the Department works on finding placement. He recently went to acute care and is coming back to the office. His team is requesting a weighted blanket to help him when he dysregulates. While in CPH it was shared by the clinical team that he utilized their blanket and was able to calm down easier. He is struggling with being around other children in the office setting who also struggle to regulate themselves. Any assistance would be appreciated!

We have a 11 year old recently placed with his grandmother who is in need of summer clothes size 12 boys.

We have a 13 year old girl with a 6 month baby in care. Baby has out grown all clothes. She is in needed of 6-9 month summer clothes.

The Department is currently working with a high risk family who is in need a large trash bin to clean out their trailer and property. The family does not have access to waste management and needs a way to properly dispose of garbage. The family also is in need of a dresser to store clothing properly and eliminate clutter in their already small living space.

The youth is transitioning to a new home that specializes in teen care. To make this placement more comfortable for her we are trying to help her get a small dresser. This will allow a space for her to put her clothing and other items, and it will also be something she could take with her when she moves out of the home into her own place.

M and B are currently living in an office setting. The Department is looking for placement for these siblings. Both are physically and developmentally delayed, and we are hoping to get them some art supplies to encourage their creativity and help them stay regulated while in an office setting and beyond. We are looking for paper, construction paper, acrylic paints, craft paints, brushes, glue, markers, crayons/colored pencils and other child safe/washable craft supplies. The children are ages 6 and 8. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

H, B and E are children currently living in a CYFD office. All 3 are non verbal and autistic. We are hoping to get some sensory, fidget and interactive toys such as: squishy balls, pop its, bendy tubes, spinners, wooden puzzles, fake foods like fruits and veggies, eggs etc, flash cards, leap pads with books to be read along with, busy boards/busy books, montessori toys, light up toys, interactive books on planets and animals, etc to help these children regulate in an office setting. Ages of the children range from 8 to 17. Any help would be really appreciated! Either an outright purchase by a donor of any/all listed items or a gift card would be wonderful. Thank you!

C is currently living in an assisted living for long term disabled youth. He is 17 and likely will age out; the long term care facility is able to keep him past age 18 as the Department works on getting Developmental Disability Waiver services and Social Security in place. During the last team meeting, it was mentioned that C could benefit from a weighted blanket to help when he becomes dysregulated. However, insurance has stated that it would need to be specifically prescribed from a prescribing physician for Medicaid to pay for it and that will take weeks if it is approved. The placement is new and all appointments are being set up with new providers and we are still in the process of getting case materials and collaterals to get those appointments set. Any assistance is much appreciated!

E is currently living in an office setting as the Department works on locating a foster placement. He is 12. E has a lot of behavioral health considerations that make finding placement challenging. Insurance has stated this is not an expense they will cover as it has not been "prescribed" by a treating physician, however, his team would like to see about getting him a weighted blanket to help him deal with the anxiety of living in the office, dealing with other children in close proximity that also have behavioral struggles, and the constant changes of staff and the uncertainty of what will come next. Any assistance is much appreciated!

A is currently living in an office setting as the Department works on locating a foster placement. He is 13 and freed for adoption, but does not currently have a resource. A is autistic and struggles with anxiety, and has a lot of anxiety about living in the office and what comes next in his life. His team would like to see about getting him a weighted blanket to help him deal with the anxiety of living in the office and the constant changes of staff and the uncertainty of what will come next. Any assistance is much appreciated!

The family consists of a mother, her 2 daughters, mom’s partner and her two daughters. Mom has been recently released from prison and is trying to rebuild her relationship with her daughter and her partner’s daughters. They have asked for assistance with being able to take the children to do family activities. We are asking for assistance with purchasing them a family pass membership to the Albuquerque Bio Park. This will allow them unlimited visits to the zoo, the aquarium and the botanical gardens. With a family pass they can spend a lot of time together making fun memories of doing fun things together as a family.

We are requesting gas cards for our families. We have multiple families with transportation issues. There is no public transportation from the larger Rio Rancho area up to the office, and it is prohibiting them from getting to visits with their kids. It is also prohibiting them from coming to the office for UAs and from to services around Rio Rancho. We have made this request before and it has been immensely beneficial, but we are almost out and have multiple families requesting gas cards.
