This request is for a mother who recently had a newborn baby. She has had some financial struggles lately and doesn't have a mode of transportation. It would benefit her to have a stroller and baby carrier so that she can safely take her child out into the community.

An unemployed single mom with a four-year-old son who is residing at paternal grandfather's home after leaving heat relief shelter, is in need of a drawer to store both mom and child's clothes. Additionally, the male child needs a pair of shoes and wears size 9.

This kinship caregiver is in need of supplies to preserve their current placement. The 2 month old child is in need of a stroller, a swing, clothing, and wipes. There is a young school aged child in need of clothing (8), socks, and underwear as well. This will greatly help the family ensure the children have their basic needs met.

A single mother of two teenagers recently moved to Phoenix from Oklahoma city. She moved to help provide for her family and get access to more services for her daughter with behavioral health needs. The mom works full time to meet her child's needs but has been unable to afford needed furniture for home and her children. Her daughter struggles with mental health needs and behavioral outbursts. The mom has been had her enrolled with multiple behavioral health services and is focused on her needs when she is not working. The mom has a strong connection with both children and tries to prioritize spending time with them and having fun wit them when she is off from work. This family is in need of a couch and a dinning table as well as a bed for herself. The home they are staying in is currently unfurnished with only a bed for each child.

The child is a 15-year-old teenager. She is placed with her second cousin, his wife, and their two children after spending several years in a group home. She struggles with her weight and has successfully lost a considerable amount of weight. Her caregivers could use some help getting her some new clothing. Things she needs :

2. Biker Shorts 1X or XXL
3. GYM Shorts men or women’s XXL
4. Tank tops or short XL
5. Women’s underwear size 20 or xxl
6. Denim shorts size 18 or xxl

A Family in Need of a Lifeline

We’re reaching out on behalf of one of our client families who is facing a difficult season. The father recently lost his job, and although the mother is working full time, her income alone isn’t enough to sustain the household. Despite their best efforts, they are struggling to cover basic needs—gas, rent, and utilities—and are in urgent need of support.

This is a hardworking family that isn’t looking for a handout, but a hand up. They have been actively engaged in our parenting program, consistently attending classes and using their earned baby bucks to purchase diapers and wipes. Their commitment to growth, stability, and their children’s well-being is evident.

The mother’s love for her children is inspiring. She is currently pregnant with her third child. She has an 11 y/o daughter and 3 y/o son. She faithfully brings them to the center, including her sweet pre-teen daughter who adores her baby brother. They are doing all they can—but right now, they just need a little help to bridge the gap until the father can secure new employment.

If you feel led to help, your generosity—whether through a gas card, rental assistance, or support with utility bills—would mean the world to this family. Together, we can be the lifeline they need to move forward with hope and dignity.

Mom's sister recently moved in to combine their resources but need funds to assist in covering for back rent due. Mom has a 7 month old and is a client of Aid to Women Center where she attends weekly parenting prep classes and receives free diapers, baby wipes, baby clothes and other baby related items. Mom has been great about attending the weekly parenting classes but has shared with us that the father of the baby has not been of support and he is no longer in the home. Mom is seeking employment but hasn't been able to find a job at this time. Any financial assistance toward back rent would be greatly appreciated. Her sister is working and will be able to assist with rent moving forward.

This single mother has three little ones and one on the way. She has all girls, but now her unborn son is near and she does not have any baby items or boy clothing. She has a part-time job, she lives in section 8 housing. She is trying to meet her children's basic needs while meeting their medical needs. Her youngest is diagnosed with Turner Syndrome, which requires medication and doctor visits. Mom comes up short on the bill due to having to take off work for doctor appointments. Mother expressed just needing some starter items for her newborn baby.

She is in need of diapers size 1 and wipes, a stroller, and a car seat. Mother is in need of baby pacifiers, baby bottles. Mom stated the baby is measuring big already, she would need clothing as well, may 0-3 months. Also, a bassinet will be helpful, DCS involvement may not be involved when the baby is born.

This family is renting one room from a family member. Husband doesn't have a stable job. They also have a new baby. All four live and sleep in one room. Mom had to have a C-section and is still recovering. She is struggling with walking and carrying the newborn, so a body baby carrier (sling type $40) would be important, and manage both children in current situation. 7 Yr old boy is in need of clothing also. FYI- Family is Spanish speaking only.

Family recently moved into a new place after being homeless and living in a motel room. The family is in need of beds, living room furniture, and dishes. The family is in a three bedroom. Parents are in need of a Queen/King size bed and bedframe. The children are in need of two twin beds and bedframe. The family also need bedding for each room. Family is also requesting dressers for each room, two for larger bedroom due to parents sharing room with the two toddlers.

Maternal Aunt is in need of items for her nieces who have been recently placed with her and her two children. Family is in need of cleaning supplies (multi-purpose cleaner, soap, paper towel, toilet paper) and toiletries (Shampoo and Conditioner- Pantene, Aquaphor, Edgefixer- extreme hold hair gel, Vaseline Cocobutter lotion). The family is African-American in which they requested specific hair and body products according to their needs. They could also use pajamas as they have very minimal, both children are size 10-12 in girls. The girls would benefit from having a small dresser (white) as well to put their clothing items.

There is a young, heroic mother who is 6 months pregnant and is trying to create a beautiful life for her 1.5 year old son and her unborn baby boy. She is taking online classes, working part time, and caring for her little one. Meeting this material need of furniture would help her prepare to welcome her newborn in the summer and give her a place to rest after the long days of a busy, single mom. She is very grateful for any help she can receive!
