Wytheville Presbyterian Church

TCDSS is working with a family with 2 children. There are limited financial resources available. Family is in need of windows replaced in their doublewide due to a few being broke.

Single father with 3 children. 2 Female and 1 Male child. 1 child suffering from Scoliosis and diagnosed with Autism. In need of a air conditioner window unit for a single wide trailer.

The department is currently working with a family in the Galax area. The family has a seven month old child and the great grandmother is serving as a caregiver of the child from time to time. The great grandmother is currently wheel chair bound and is in need of a new wheel chair ramp as she is struggling to get in and out of her trailer.

The father who had primary custody of his two children had to be placed in hospital due to an incident in which he may not recover. The current placements for the children need assistance with clothing as they did not have much and gas cards to get them to appointments for their mental and sibling visits. If these needs are met it will help the children with clothing for the summer season and address their mental health with the situation of the loss of their primary custodian and the siblings having to be separated from each other.

The department is currently working with a family of a single mother with three children. The mother's minivan is in need of repairs and the mother is struggling to make ends meet. The mother is residing in the Hillsville area.

THIS FAMILY HAS RESIDED IN VIRGINIA FOR SOME TIME. THEY HAVE A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD THAT REQUIRES CONSTANT SUPERVISION AS WELL AS TWO YOUNGER CHILDREN.

THIS FAMILY IS IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE TO RENT EQUIPMENT TO REMOVE LARGE DEBRY WHERE AN OLD HOUSE COLLAPSED. THEY WILL BE MOVING A DOUBLE WIDE ON THE PROPERTY AND DUE TO THE COST OF FIXING THEIR WELL EARLIER THIS YEAR, THEY ARE IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE.

There is a young couple with 2 small children we are involved with. The youngest child is on a wait list to be assessed for Autism and is nonverbal. The father has been unable to land a full-time job and does odd and end jobs as he can find them. The mother is on disability, recently lost her mother, and is now having to care for her aunt who is on hospice. This family has had a lot thrown into their lap recently and it has overwhelmed them. They are in need of cleaning supplies including trash bags to help them get their home back to normal. This family also had their washer and dryer go down almost simultaneously and the vehicle they have is completely broken down, so they are not able to go to the laundry matt to do their laundry. This family is very kind, and they love their children so much it radiates from them. Cleaning supplies needed- Dish soap, sponges, carpet cleaner, mop detergent, trash bags, gloves, bathroom cleaner, kitchen cleaner, toilet cleaner, other supplies I may have forgot to list.
