A mother and five children were living in a domestic violence situation resulting in the children being removed from the home. The mother has been working with DHS and recently achieved Trial Reunification with her five children. The mom moved out of the family's previous home and separated from the abuser, obtaining a home for her and her children to ensure their safety . She has been employed for many years and was able to pay for the electric deposit in the home, however due to the loss of a second income, the finances are strained and she needs assistance with having the gas turned on. She will be able to pay the monthly bills once she establishes service, but is struggling at this time with all the deposits and furnishing the home for her and her children.
A family in Bartlesville is needing assistance paying their home gas bill through ONG (Oklahoma Natural Gas). The family’s gas was shut off two days ago due to lack of payment. The current balance on their account is $342.00 as of 03/06/2023. This family has a past due water bill with the city of Bartlesville in the amount of $263.00 as of 03/06/2023. I am aware they have a past due electric bill with PSO which is close to $700.00. The family has suffered several hardships since December 2022. The family living in this home includes a grandmother, a daughter and her two children ages 11 and 15. The grandmother lost of her husband on February 1, 2023. The grandmother recently had spine surgery and struggles to get around. The 15 year old daughter was born with Sphnoidenchloche and requires daily medical care. Shortly after her birth she was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. She is having seizures and requires additional daily care. This family is requesting assistance paying on their gas, electric and water bills. They have applied for assistance however the program closed without assisting them. At this time the family is unable to prepare meals on their gas cook stove or take showers. Any amount paid on their bills would be appreciated.

A 3-year-old girl and her mother moved in with the girl’s father. The girl and her mother are currently sharing a bed in the father’s home. The girl’s father and mother both expressed they want a toddler bed for their daughter but are not able to afford one at this time for her. The mother works part time at TJ Max and the father is on disability and is unable to work. The family did have a crib for their daughter, but it had to be left at the mother’s previous residence. The mother is staying in the home until she is able to find her own place, but the girl will be staying with her father. The family is needing one toddler bed frame, one mattress, and bedding.
Cassie:
Hello, we have a crib mattress which is the same size as a toddler mattress and a crib that converts into a toddler bed (one side can be removed). Would that work for the family? I didn't want to mark 'provided', in case they need something different. I can buy bed sheets to go with it.
