This mom recently left her abusive partner. She is rebuilding her life with the help of her family members, but money is very tight right now. Her young son has autism and is non-verbal, and right now they are struggling with safe driving. Kiddo will unbuckle himself when driving in the car but is too big for a generic car seat. Mom is looking for a "special needs" car seat, but they are very expensive, and she can't currently afford one. Right now, she has to pull the car over every few minutes to re-buckle him into his seat on their way to school which takes time and is dangerous. It would greatly relieve a very specific stress while mom works to find supportive housing and re-settles into her new life. Below are links of car seats that would work for this family. We are working with a single father. He is currently experiencing a financial hardship which has made it difficult for him to afford transportation. At present, he is walking to work but was recently assaulted during his commute, causing him to miss a week of work. Alejandro is actively working on reinstating his driver’s license, with a DMV appointment scheduled for August 4th, 2025.

Until then, his only means of commuting are walking and public transportation; however, he is no longer able to afford a bus pass. This ongoing stress has negatively impacted his mental health, and he has been referred to Ellie Mental Health for therapy support.

Providing Alejandro with a bus pass for July would significantly alleviate some of his burdens, help ensure his continued employment, and foster trust and a stronger relationship with our agency.

A 14 year-old girl is staying with a friend's family due to family concerns. Her siblings have moved out of state. She was unable to take much of anything with her. She needs help with some clothing and hygiene items, if possible some makeup also. Your support would mean the world to her and help her know she is not alone! She will purchase pants, shorts, shirts, undergarments. She wears a size medium in pants and says any size shirt will work. Her favorite color is baby blue. She could use some aquaphor cream for extremely dry skin when she buys the hygiene items.

A single woman is going to become a first-time mother in August. The father of the baby struggles with addiction and is not a source of support for her at this time. She is working toward employment and saving as much as she can, but that has been a challenge with the rise of living expenses in Denver. She is having trouble covering basic costs such as rent, gas and groceries. Her biggest need right now is a bedside bassinet for the baby to sleep in safely as she transitions home from the hospital. This Mom is a care provider for her own sons needs he Is 11 yrs. old and has Autism they have a Motel room and this is the second one due to her being asked to leave the first one because her son make loud noises and stomp his feet on the floor this has been the challenge for the family because of her son's behaviors due to him being Autistic . The current place where they are in doesn't not have a bed for both to sleep and Mother has been sleeping in the chair in the room this has been hard for Mom she will need surgery on one of her legs soon from a fracture from past injury during a domestic viokence incent . So it would be helpful if we can get an Air mattress and mattress cover for the the family . Thanks Kindly

Working with a young father who has custody of his five year old (soon to be six) son. He and son were homeless for some time until we could get him stably couch surfing with his cousin. A couple of months ago in March, dad was able to get moved into an apartment with his kiddo. Dad is hard working, engages with our program and has made great progress!! When he and son moved into their apartment, the only thing they had were two beds. Now they have a sofa and two beds. What dad would really like is some privacy. They do not have curtains and I was hoping to assist them with this. Especially since very recently dad broke his hand and cannot work till released by the doctor. Thank goodness he has saved some money but it will go quickly. The little guy is a very energetic and loving kid with lots of energy. He just graduated kindergarten and is ready to move on to first grade - he even sent me pics of his continuation and I am very happy and proud for him! Every time I visit dad he comes running and hugs me and tells me hi miss bonnie! Please help me help them make their place a home. (dad has asked for one set of dark blue and one set of black curtains, 40 x 84 panels - hopefully light blocking and he will need rods - just the sleeve style where the curtains slide on)

J. is a single mom with one child still at home. She has worked tirelessly to get her certification towards a new career in order to better support her family. She has applied for many jobs and is attending interviews, but she just needs a little bit of help to finish out the program and keep food on the table for herself and her daughter. Your support would mean a lot to them!

I am requesting a gift card on behalf of a single mother of one who is currently awaiting a new employment opportunity. Although she is actively seeking and is hopeful about the position, she is in need of extra support in the meantime. A gift card would allow her to continue focusing on maintaining stability for herself and her child. While she is doing her best to provide for her child, her income is limited, and she could greatly benefit from additional support to cover basic needs such as groceries.

A 17yr old and recently gave birth to a little girl. She is in need of diapers, clothes 0-3mo., a kangaroo pouch and potentially a stroller. She doesn't have much of anything and is relying on her uncle for most items. They are all on benefits and need to make sure their bills are paid first, so they do not have a lot of leftover money for baby items. She requested a pump and bottles too as she intends to go back to school and will need to prepare bottles in advance!

The child is currently under thee care of her grandmother. After months of efforts, grandma and the child were able to get a two-bedroom apartment. Unfortunately, during the move, the furniture and other items became un-useable. Grandma is on a fixed income. Grandma is requesting support from the community to get the essential items so that their new home is livable.

Working with a bio mom who has recently had children returned to the apartment they live in. She is a single mom who lost her job and has no furniture expect beds and a small coffee table. In need some good condition used furniture items for their apartment. They are happy with donated used items. These items don't have to be purchased. She will be truly grateful for any support!

Mother has just been returned her 2 kids on an emergency and she is unable to afford car seats. She needs a car seat for 3 year old girl and 5 year old boy. The car seats needed are one with a 5 point harness and one with a booster and back rest car.
