Two children (Boy age 9 and Girl age 8) are living with their biological grandparents after their previous adoptive home fell through. The grandparents are doing a wonderful job of taking care of the kids and getting them the supports and services they need. The children's school is offering a holiday day camp while school is out of session for the Christmas holiday. The family would like financial assistance getting them enrolled so that the elderly grandparents can keep the children in their routine as much as possible for the children's mental health. The program has a $75 enrollment fee per child, and a cost of $30/day/child. This would total to $450 for the two children for the 5 day program.

Hello everyone, we have a wonderful family from our Lead Neelys Bend Campus. One of our students requires help with a new pair of glasses. Unfortunately, while on an educational adventure, the student had an incident with their glasses and they broke. Despite efforts to fix them, the damage has increased. The parent took their child to the eye doctor, but unfortunately, they ran out of warranty for a replacement pair of glasses. The earliest the student can get new replacement glasses with insurance is next April. This is causing a problem for the student as the glasses are not staying on their face properly. Therefore, we are reaching out to see if anyone could support this family in getting a new pair of glasses for our student. Thank you in advance for any support that can be provided.

Family already has a stroller (double stroller) but this stroller is not safe for baby due to positioning needs. Any help in obtaining this item that family was not expecting to have to need is greatly appreciated. Please reach me at(###) ###-#### to discuss plans for assistance. Robyn

I work with a family at our school who is a single parent and is employeed and just barely making ends meet. Their bank account information was stollen last week and she is in crisis trying to pay her bills. Her car tag fee is one bill she cannot pay and they are expired by a few weeks and she is worried she will get in trouble. She relies on her vehicle to get her children to school and to drive to her job. The amount of the tags is $245. If anyone is able to help this family, they have a lot on their plate and this would enable the mom to prioritize other bills and expenses this holiday. Thank you for considering!

This family is in need of items for their home. The mother has been able to not work due to maternity leave and needs items from her home; she has been trying to maintain the bills and the home with the little income that she has until she is able to work. She has made huge progress over the past six years despite going through tough times and has really shown significant progress with the program during my time with her. I have noticed there are things that the home needs when being there for visits with the family, along with looking over the rooms. The mother has recently moved into this apartment and really started with nothing. The home has maintained staying clean, and I would like to get Mom a few items so she does not have the financial burden of trying to come up with money while parenting three young children (including a newborn). I hope you can help me. This would greatly be appreciated by the family! See the identified needed items, which would include a high chair, beds for the kids, dressers, clothes, etc. The sizes for the family include : Girl #1- size 4/5 or S Girl #2 - 3T Boy- 0-3months, 3-6 months Diapers are size 6 The family is also in need of curtain rods and curtains for the home, if possible, since there are a lot of windows within the apartment- 84-inch curtains and adjustable curtain rods. Thank you so much for considering to help!

Good Afternoon. I have a single mother who is at risk of being homeless. She has two children and she does the best that she can. She is behind on rent due to losing her housing voucher. She is barley making ends meet with all the financial burdens she is responsible for. She owes 3600 in rent and court fees. This request is to help parents in being able to throw a birthday party for their two year old daughter at Chuck E Cheese. This is one of six children and one of four birthdays in December and January. By covering the cost for the party would alleviate some of that stress the parents experience during this time to make sure their children get to have fun on their birthdays, get presents for their birthday, while also making sure that they are able to get all the children presents for Christmas.

A single mother raising two children has been facing difficulties finding work because of health issues and not being able to drive. She's reaching out for help to get a new mattress and box spring for her family. However, just mattresses will work fine as well. The family's current beds are almost a decade old, falling apart, and were hand-me downs. On top of that, the mother deals with Psoriasis and Arthritis, and her pain has been worsening because her bed doesn't provide enough support. Unfortunately, the family hasn't had success getting help from local resources for beds. They urgently need a Queen-sized bed and two twin-sized beds. If they could get assistance with this, it would greatly improve their sleep, relieve the discomfort of sleeping on worn-out beds, and ease the stress the mother feels from struggling to find suitable beds for her family.

I am working with a family that lost a lot of their household items due to a bed bug infestation. There are 4 children and two adults living in a two-bedroom apartment. Currently, the children's clothing is on the floor in their closet, and it is difficult for them to locate items that they need. The children's mother has some mental health concerns that she is working to address. Therefore, updating their space and improving the conditions that her children are living in will help boost the overall morale of the home. Thank you so much for any and all help that you can provide. The family is enthusiastically open to second-hand and pre-loved items. Small laundry baskets, bookshelves, and any small storage items would also be helpful. One of the older children has asthma and has a difficult time keeping up with their siblings. Their mother thinks that a double stroller would help with this a lot. Thank you so much for supporting the community.

Greg: Restore Community Church has a new twin roll out trundle bed with metal slats and lockable casters for this family. It is not a toddler bed, but the platform frame is only a few inches high, and might be suitable for this family. Restore also can provide a new mattress and bedding. If desired, Northland Church KC can deliver this week.

This request is for a sibling group of 3 (11 yr old boy, 9 year old girl and 7 year old girl) that have been in care for over 4 years due to parental drug use and mental health issues. They are currently placed with an aunt and uncle in KS that are going to adopt them. The aunt said their house is not well insulated and gets really cold in the winter. She is asking for help with comforters and robes for the children. The boy has a full size bed and wears a L in men's. His favorite colors are red/black. The girls both have twin beds and wear a L in girls'. One's favorite colors are pink and purple and the other likes blue and white. The aunt has stated that getting these needs met will take a huge burden off their shoulders as they have really been struggling financially since becoming a family of 8 overnight. These children have no one else and we really want to support this family that is willing to give them a permanent home.

A mother that has recently reunified with her daughters just had her lights turned off and needs assistance with getting her electricity turned back on. Thankfully her heat is powered by natural gas, but she and the kids need to be able to use power to cook and do homework. Mom is struggling to figure out how to turn on her lights and pay rent for December, when her next pay check doesn't come until 12/10. Any assistance for this family would be greatly appreciated.
