This request is to assist a kinship placement waiting to adopt her maternal cousin. The child has outgrown the current crib/bed she is sleeping in and is requesting assistance with a toddler bed to aid in proper age development.
Location: Fort Worth, TX 76140-County:Tarrant-Children Served: 1-Agency: #Our Community Our Kids-Tier 1: Physical Needs-Estimated Value:$100
Single mom left home with infestation and, in an effort, to prevent further infestation lost all of her furniture. She is in need of 1 toddler bed and mattress, 2 twin beds and mattresses (age 7 & 9), and 1 full bed and mattress (12 yr old boy the size of an adult). The children are currently sleeping in 1 bed and 1 small makeshift sofa. She has no living room or dining room furniture of any kind. A kitchen table and a sofa would be helpful. The beds are the highest priority to ensure safe sleeping.
Single mother of two small boys is in need of a toddler bed for her two year old who has outgrown his crib. He has medical needs and nurses who come in daily. He will need a bed with rails to help accommodate his medical devices and tubes. A regular toddler bed with rails around most of the bed will work.
A diligent and hard working mother of 3 small children is a student at Cornerstone Crossroads Academy. Our very small fully accredited high school has full wrap around case management to help our students have the best chance to succeed. This mother of 3 has recently moved and has almost nothing in her new apartment. The distraction of her urgent needs has detoured her from concentrating on her graduation plan.
Cornerstone Crossroads Academy is a small high school serving students who have not been successful in traditional educational settings. We do everything in our power to set our students up for success. We have a single mother of 3 who has recently moved and is in urgent need of beds, bedding and household goods for herself and her 3 small children. She is working diligently to graduate from high school, but currently has nearly nothing in her new apartment. Updated on December 05, 2023 by an Agency Worker This request is for 4 beds and the bedding. We would be happy if this request could be met even partially. Any beds and bedding would be better than the air mattresses that they are currently sleeping on.

There is only one caregiver in the home. She is struggling to provide for her child. Child is female and is 3 months old. The caregiver is working hard to provide a stable and safe environment. The parent is currently struggling to provide diapers and formula and is in need of help. This will allow for proper care of the child.
Grandmother reached out to the campus recently with concerns for her granddaughter wellbeing. Grandmother has taken over guardianship, but this has caused a major strain to the finances. Grandmother states she is behind on rent and currently has no food, with light and water bill pending. Grandmother is very concerned student will stop attending school as she is also trying to work with her regarding the abrupt departure of her biological mother, she feels bad to have to ask, but does not see any other options to keep a roof over their heads and some hot food on the table, Grandmother is also asking for prayer as this has been a very difficult month and its holiday time, thank you for your support.
It is a family of 7 with 5 children (11 years old girl, 10 years old boy, 9 years old girl, and 7-year-old twins, a boy and a girl). All of the children are in needs of beds. The family recently moved apartments and had to throw away all of the furniture away due to a roach infestation. The family did not want to move the insects from one home to the other and they thought the best course of action would be to throw everything away and start over. Anything would be helpful to the family and help ease the burden.
Grandmother is caring for 1 y/o (F), 2 y/o (M), and 9 y/o (F). The 1 y/o is needing a crib, and the 2 y/o is needing a toddler bed for appropriate sleeping arrangements. This would allow for the children to have safe sleeping arrangements. The children are also needing appropriate car seat safety, as they currently do not have any. This will reduce the risk of serious injury and death in the event of a car accident.
An aunt and uncle took in their triplet nieces and nephew to their home upon their release from the hospital after their birth. The babies are now 7 months old and are in the process of transitioning to their cribs. The caregivers are requesting assistance with crib mattresses and crib sheets for the babies. The family has had a lot of expenses in caring for the babies and are requesting help with the cost of crib mattresses and sheets. The donation of crib mattresses will allow the caregivers to continue to meet the other needs of the babies. The caregivers are in the process of getting licensed with their hopes of adopting the babies.
This 6-person family does the best they can on under $50,000 annual income. They are working on moving out of their current apartment which is in bad condition. During a storm, there was a bad leak which caused water damage in one of the bedrooms which destroyed the beds in the room. They had to throw the beds out and are currently sharing 2 mattresses for all members of the family. They do not want to replace the beds until they move but would like help with some air mattresses to improve the quality of life for their children until they move and can save money for beds.

I have a wonderful sixteen-year-old girl that has been in care for one year. She finally has the opportunity to be placed with a family member instead of in a foster home. She was placed last Friday, and she looked so happy to be there. The family member was ready for her with her own room. However, when she went to get the queen size bed out of storage, it had been destroyed by the elements. The family member is a single person that would have to save up for many months to afford to pay for a new one. Right now, the sixteen-year-old is sleeping in the family member's bed and the family member is sleeping on the couch. This is not a long-term solution. We are requesting a new or used Queen size bed for a growing teenager. Thank you for your help in maintaining this family connection.

Laura, thank you so much for your generosity to meet this need! Would you want to be involved in getting the bed to the recipient or have someone else handle that portion?
The child in care has been returned to their family and is currently on a return to monitor. The mother is a single woman with 6 children in her home. The dryer has recently went out at the home and the mother is having to go to the laundry mat. The mother reported having to complete at least 8-10 loads of laundry during her last session. The mother is currently on crutches from an injury and needs assist with dryer repairs or a new or gently used dryer. This family would benefit from having a dryer in the home so the mother can focus on healing and on the children.

I have a single father who is caring for his 11 year old daughter. The daughter is disabled and was recently discharged from the hospital. The father and child were kicked out of their home and are currently living in a hotel. The father is behind on his hotel bill and owes $225. If he doesn't catch up on his bill they will be kicked out of the hotel and become homeless. His daughter is also required to drink Pediasure everyday due to failure to thrive but they ran out and the father doesn't have enough funds to purchase anymore. If she doesn't get the nutrition needed she can lose weight, which will place her back in the hospital. I am also requesting $60 to purchase two boxes of Pediasure that will last her a month. The daughter was recently approved for disability and the father will have additional income to care for her once payment begins.
