Need help in purchasing new football cleats and helmet visor for a 14 y/o boy who recently reunified with his mom. Throughout his time in care he changed between multiple placements and different schools. Despite the many transfers, the teenager maintained excellent grades and attendance and has been able to play football at each school. He is growing rapidly and needs new cleats and a required visor for his new team. Football is extremely important to him and he works hard to ensure he can play in addition to his educational goals. He has high hopes and aspirations to attend college and interest in computers/coding. He utilizes football as a healthy coping skill and gains many skills from his coaches and team such as teamwork, discipline, and physical exercise. Either the specific items or a gift card to a sporting goods store would help obtain the items and allow him to pick out the right fit/style himself as he is learning financial skills as a teenager such as how much items cost, how to shop around, and check out/pay for yourself. Helping meet this need would free up funds in the home for other necessary items.

Two single moms, each with 2 children, are in need of extra support. Although they are both employed, they struggle financially to make ends meet. They are in need of basic furniture items for their home, including a couch, a kitchen table with 6 chairs, a vacuum cleaner, and clothing storage items. A plastic dresser or storage cart for each child would be ideal. The children include a girl (age 10) and three boys (ages, 7, 4, & 4). Thank you for any help you may be able to provide. Having a table and chairs in time for Thanksgiving would be a blessing.

Our building is needs some additional pairs of sweat pants. We keep a stock of sweatpants available to students who have a clothing emergency at school. This is often used by students with disabilities or students that have a hard time getting weather appropriate clothing. We try to get these items returned to be washed for multiple uses, but on occasion they are taken and not returned.
Special Instructions:
10 Size M and 10 size S sweat pants- neutral colors.

We are desperately asking for donations and/or someone that can provide hair care services to one of our children currently in need. Over the last few months this youth has been through a lot and is now stable enough to work on her own health and wellbeing. This youth's natural hair is currently severely damaged and we have received a quote from a local salon for $900 to fix the damage and redo her sisterlocks.
A working single mother of two, who's a client of our agency, desperately needs to purchase a reliable used car. She had a car, but it needs repairs that she can't afford and that cost more than the car is worth. She can put down as much as $1,500 but needs her monthly payment to be between $200 and $300. Her credit is not good because her ex-husband racked up some debts, then disappeared and literally left her holding the bag.
Looking for resources who can help her find a reliable car ASAP. She needs to purchase it within a week.

Father has been taking a non-paid leave from work to be present for delivery of the baby and the baby's cardiac surgery. Parents are struggling financially and requested assistance with their rent due to father taking a recent non-paid leave.

LaNisha:
Hello,
I hope you are well.
From the request, it was mentioned that the 12 yr old boy is in need of a twin bed. I have a member at my church who has a twin bed and box spring in good condition that she would like to donate to someone who needs it. Would this family be interested?

I have a family who has been so lucky to be selected for Rose brooks Rapid Rehousing Program but needs help getting a washer and dryer. They have been fortunate to get this opportunity to have housing covered for a year. As a single mother RC has worked so hard from the beginning to the case to get sober, leave an abusive relationship, and do whatever necessary to reunify with her young sons. It has not even been a year since the case opened and she has turned her life around. She is incredible driven and self-sufficient but has asked for some assistance as the family moves into their own place for the first time!

The mother on this case was given an eviction notice and was requested to be out by October 31st, 2023. The mother was off work for 3 months due to having a broken foot and got behind on her rent. Due to her renting from her father and not having a lease agreement we are not able to assist in getting her rent paid up. The mother is trying to get a new place but has a past due bill from when she left her abuser. If this bill is paid, she will have a better chance of getting an apartment for her and her son before the October 31st deadline. This bill is an Evergy Bill.

This working, single mother is in need of a crib and crib mattress for her youngest child. Despite working full time, the budget never seems to stretch as far as one would hope with multiple children. Her youngest child has quickly outgrown the pack n play she has been using and is about to surpass the weight limit. Since safety is always the number one priority for her children, this mother knows she a crib, but cannot afford one. A crib and crib mattress will help to ensure this child has a safe sleep plan and help a single working mom.
