Children are currently sharing a bed with mother. Father of the children is incarcerated. Mother works at a nursing home as a medical aid and caregiver. Mother has saved up money and has rented an apartment, but does not have the financial means to furnish the apartment. Mother has been unable to move into the apartment because she does not have any furniture. Mother has a full sized mattress for herself but does not have a frame and/or box spring. Mother does not have a couch or any other furnishings for the empty apartment. By providing the basic furnishings, mother and children will be able to move into the apartment and have their own space and beds.

There is a mother and father who have been working extremely hard to not only be better for their two young children, but for themselves as well. They have five-year-old son and a four-year-old daughter who are the highlight of their lives, and also their proudest accomplishments. Unfortunately, both their children are not currently residing with them. If there is a way to help these devoted parents out by providing them furniture, it would put them in a better position, which would strengthen their chances of being reunified with their children. Both parents are working and have shown nothing but consistency and determination, to make their home a safe environment for their children to come home to. I am updating my original CarePortal request for #230486. We are looking to serve 2 children and 2 adults. The parents are in need of a queen size bed frame and queen size mattress. The parents are currently sleeping on a futon mattress. The parents were both having trouble falling asleep and staying asleep, due the futon mattress causing them back pain. The parents even attempted to purchase a memory foam topper to hopefully add some comfort, but it did not help with the back pain they were and still are experiencing. Both parents would greatly benefit with having a new bedframe and mattress. They both work pretty demanding jobs, so anything to help their bodies recover at night as well be better prepared for their day, would benefit their overall well-being.

Father of one recently gained custody of his two-month-old son. The father has a disability making it hard to care for the small child. With limited income, the father is seeking help with obtaining an infant stroller, hoping to no longer put additional strain on his back. Father has already applied for and is awaiting WIC, SNAP, and Medicaid. The benefits are under the mother's name currently. The child is also in need of formula (Enfamil Gentle Ease), wipes, and diapers (size 1) while he awaits the assistance he has applied for. Grandmother who is taking care of her grandson is requesting assistance with purchasing a full-size bed for him. Grandson lives with client as his mother passed away when he was four years old. Client does not have the funds to purchase the bed. This bed will ensure the child gets a restful and safe sleep.

This family is undergoing some costly Maintenace repairs and is having trouble with having gas to take her granddaughter to her afterschool activities (soccer, gymnastics). Her car is very good on gas because its older, and her monthly gas bill isn't very high. I was hoping to help this Cg so her granddaughter can continue her enriching activities. This amount will help with this Cg for two months.

A single mother of three is currently unable to work due to a recent back injury. Although she remains employed, she is on medical leave and is actively seeking remote work options while she recovers. She is also a dedicated college student, pursuing a degree in accounting. After spending several years on the City of Bradenton Housing waitlist, she was recently approved and moved into her new residence on April 18. Prior to this, she and her children were living with her mother. As a result, she has very limited household items and is in need of basic furnishings and housewares to help make her new space livable and comfortable for her and her children. The youth is a 17-year-old child currently placed in LFC. The youth recently informed case management that she needs toiletry and clothing items such as socks, body wash, etc. The youth requested a target gift card so that she may purchase these items herself. The youth has a part time job and is currently saving up money to buy a car. She is independent and studious but requires additional assistance to meet self-care needs.

Single mother of 4 with 1 on the way is working toward providing her family a safe space. She is working with community partners to grow as a person and as a mother. She has requested assistance from this Writer and her CPS worker in obtaining beds for the kids. The DCF worker has determined that it would be best to obtain 2 full size beds rather than creating safety risk to these vulnerable children with bunk beds. The DCF worker has requested Writer assist in asking the community for help in this request.

We are requesting: 2x full beds frames (if possible), 2x mattresses, 2x mattress protectors. Writer is also requesting a barbie toy for the eldest child who is diagnosed with Autism.
