Please help us strengthen this single mother by assisting her with paying her court fines. This single mother has overcome her addiction to alcohol and is maintaining her sobriety by attending treatment. However, in the midst of her addiction she accrued several fines that resulted in her license being suspended. She is now having trouble getting to and from services as well as having trouble accomplishing daily parental duties as her driver's license has been suspended. Please help this mom cover her court fines so she can get her driver's license.
A 10 month old baby boy was recently placed in a newly certified foster home who has not received their first foster care payment. The baby is higher on the growth chart for his age and has outgrown the current car seat. The child is now in need of a 5 point car seat so he can be transported safely and for the placement to be maintained.
Mother of three has taken placement of four children who are related to her. These children were removed from their past placement and in need of immediate care. Maintaining this placement would keep the children near family and reduce the trauma of relocation. In order to effectively keep them in her care she is in need of transportation that would accommodate all seven children, two of which are still in car seats and one in need of a booster seat. She currently drives a car that seats five and is unable to coordinate transportation to and from school or even take everyone out for fast food. DHS is hoping to at least be able to assist foster mom with a significant down payment or tax and title for her to purchase a vehicle that would meet their needs. However ideas for assistance of any type would be welcome.
This is for a relative kinship home. The family has 2 boys, ages 1 and 2 and they are in need of both diapers and pull ups. The 2 year old is just now being introduced to pull ups and is not in them full time. They need pampers size 5 and 7 and Pull ups size 4/5 T. The Price estimate is based on Walmart prices for a an estimate of approximately $40 per package. The children have very sensitive skin so please get the Pampers brand as that is what is known to be safe for them. The price count is based on the cheapest per diaper for Walmart and if that is too much a smaller count size will be acceptable. While Diaper wipes were not requested and not included in the price, I am sure those would be greatly appreciated.
This need is for a mother and child who have recently reunified. The mother frequently rides her bike or takes the bus. This one child bike trailer/stroller would allow her child to not have to walk so far to catch the bus and enable her to take the bike when necessary. The one that I found to be the best bargain is at Walmart and is the Allen Sports Deluxe 2-Child Bicycle Trailer & Stroller. It does not need to be this specific brand and can be donated one that is donated rather than purchased new.
two siblings who will be placed together are in need of some clothing, this will help to keep siblings in the same home. A six year old and a three year old are in need of some basic items, like socks, underwear, hairbrushes, items to keep hair pulled back like hair ties , headband, winder gloves and hats and a coat for the cold.

Clothes for a Child / Children (see description details)
We have a family, whose children have been put into a kinship placement. Two of the children are school age and to be able to get them from their kinship home to school, which is about a 45 minute drive each way, they need monetary assistance in the form of gas cards.
Young mother is trying the get her driver's license reinstated. The Department of Public Safety requires that she take a drug and alcohol assessment to do so. The cost for the assessment is $160. Mother is being very vigilant is engaging with her treatment plan for the Department and has been testing negative for our treatment plan. However, the DPS requires a very specific drug and alcohol assessment in order to issue a driver's license for individuals with prior convictions.

Worker has a low income family that is in need of a bunk bed to help house their three girls in the same bedroom. Currently, the child is sleeping on the living room couch, and the family does not have the funds to be able to meet the need. A triple bunk bed would be ideal for the family if at all possible.

Hello there. I have a child on my caseload who is needing some assistance with obtaining some athletic shorts for his power lifting class at school. During our monthly visit, this child expressed to me that he has been having to run laps as punishment every day as a result of not being able to afford the required black athletic shorts (with zippers for the pockets) for the course. He is so unassuming and polite that at no time (prior to me bringing it up) did he ask for help in any way. Providing this child with the uniform necessary to participate in this class that he is so passionate about without having to receive embarrassing punishment on a daily basis in front of his peers would greatly improve his well being and quality of life. Your time and consideration are very much appreciated.
Hello there. I have a family who is in need of some assistance paying their water bill. Two weeks ago, one of their children (he is 2 years old with a birthday coming up in April) came down with a very bad case of RSV. He had to be hospitalized for 3 nights. As he began to recover, the rest of the household became ill. As a result, the family has faced some unforeseen financial hardships (caregivers missing work, multiple doctor's visits, paying for medications, etc.). This family would really appreciate any kind of help you may be able to provide at this time. Thank you so much in advance for your time and consideration!

A biological mother is in need of 31 day bus pass to help with transportation to family time. This bus pass will help build a bond between a newborn baby and a mother and make sure the mother is able to continue with consistent family time schedule.
A single mother working to reunite with her two young children has no transportation. She is in need of a bus pass to help her get to her court ordered appointments and visits with her children. This mother is also trying to gain employment and a bus pass would help with the transportation barrier she is struggling with. Please consider helping this mother with this need as she works towards reuniting with her children. Thank you so much!
I am working with a foster family who has placement of an 11 month old boy. He is becoming mobile, and the family has been able to obtain some safety devices for the home to help with physical safety. However, the foster family is still lacking a baby gate and has requested assistance in getting one. The space where the baby gate is needed is 90 inches in length, and would greatly help this family. We appreciate any assistance that can be offered.
A local group home would love to make a day trip for a teen very special. An outing in February is planned for this teen and the GH staff would love to make this a day just for him. They plan to attend an event he is very interested in; the Monster Truck Jam. They also plan to go out to eat, buy souvenirs, and just make the day very special for him. This young man has been in this home for a number of years and he has formed many friendships. Some of his group home peers have moved on however, and they're move has put a damper on his spirits. The staff at the GH would really love to make the day very special and just for him.
