This request is for a Hope Florida participant that is an elderly grandmother. She is seeking assistance with a small refrigerator to keep food fresh and a double burner stove to make hot meals. This grandmother has spent the last four years caring for her granddaughter since birth. She's in the process of guardianship/adoption with assistance from Legal Aid. Her social security income stretches thin, barely covering their basic needs. Still, she finds joy in simple things—her granddaughter's laughter, the quiet moments of bedtime stories and an unwavering belief that they’ll make it through. Recently, their small stove and refrigerator that made their home functional, were stolen. Without a refrigerator, fresh food is impossible to keep, and hot meals are a distant memory. The grandmother worries about the child is missing out on nutritious, warm meals that every child deserves. Through all this she has remained steadfast and caring for her granddaughter. This young woman is recently separated from her husband and has just learned that she is pregnant. She is committed to continuing her pregnancy, but the transition has brought financial challenges, and she is understandably anxious about her ability to provide for her child. She is currently in urgent need of assistance with her phone bill, which is scheduled for disconnection on May 17th if not paid. In addition to this, she is also struggling to keep up with housing and car payments. Any support we can offer during this difficult time would mean a great deal to her. My client is a single father of a one-year-old and is currently homeless staying at different hotels. He is currently looking for employment and needs help with resources for himself and his son. The father needs assistance with childcare as well. The child is in need of clothing (3t-4t), Pull-ups (size 4-5), shoes, and toys. The father is in need of resources for food and hygiene products as well as clothing. Any resources or support is much needed.

The mother is working towards reunification with her 5 children. The mother has fell on financial hardship while seeking employment. The mother is asking for assistance with her FPL bill of 291.00. The mother has been maintaining her bills on her own, she also has a plan in place to maintain her future bills. Assisting the mother in this request will ensure that her children will have a stable home to return to.

Currently facing homelessness, she has no choice but to live in her car, a space never meant to be a home but now serving as their only shelter. Despite her unwavering determination, securing full-time employment remains nearly impossible without stable housing, forcing her to navigate survival on limited resources. She receives SNAP benefits, which provide much-needed assistance, yet her situation presents an additional struggle—without a refrigerator or stove, preparing nutritious meals is simply not an option. As a mother, she is doing everything she can to provide for her children, but at this moment, she needs help. She is humbly asking for assistance with a food card of $250 that would allow her access to hot meals, ensuring her family has sustenance beyond what she can currently manage. Any support during this difficult time would be a beacon of hope, allowing her to focus on rebuilding for her children. The family consist of one child ages 17 (female). This is a single mother raising her with severe behavioral issues and mental health. Her daughter's behavioral issues have led to parental stress, frustration, strained relationships between grandparents, and complicated interactions with her adult siblings. These behaviors have also negatively impacted the mother's mental health, that developed into severe depression & anxiety. This mother is trying her hardest to embrace these struggles. The mother works full time as a lead at Wawa and is also in the process of trying to get an apartment to live in for both her & the child. She is currently homeless and is residing with a friend until she is able to move into her own apartment. The department is working with the mother to put intensive services into the home for the child but has been having a very difficult time due to the mother not having a working cell phone. The mother has missed out on two staffing's for the child and the referred therapist for the mother has not been able to reach her to begin services with the mother due to not being able to contact her. This mother is in need of financial assistance to purchase a new pre-paid phone and minutes.

I am writing on behalf of a young mother currently facing an extremely difficult time. She is the sole caregiver of her 4-year-old child and has recently taken on the responsibility of caring for her 19-year-old brother following the sudden loss of their mother. With both parents now deceased, she and her brother are navigating the immense challenges of grief and loss while attempting to remain stable as a family unit.

This young woman is now at risk of eviction and urgently needs rental assistance. She has no financial or emotional support from the father of her child and no extended family to lean on. Despite these overwhelming circumstances, she has stepped up to care for her younger brother while continuing to provide for her child.

This family is in urgent need of community support. Rental assistance at this time would offer them the stability they need to begin healing and rebuilding their lives. Your support could make a life-changing difference for them during this critical moment.

A single mother of three children is currently seeking help to pay a utility bill in the amount of 283.75. She is employed full time and has been able to make ends meet on her own until her car broke down. In order to be able to go to work and take her children to school and daycare she was obligated to fix the vehicle. However, in allotting funds to car repairs her utility bill took a backseat and now she is anxious about the possibility of her lights being cut off. She is a hard worker and is currently receiving employment and education services from the Urban League of Broward County.

Grandmother and her granddaughter are homeless. Unable to make payment for storage, they lost everything including SSN cards and Birth Certificates. They are currently staying in a hotel. The grandmother is unable to obtain employment due to medical condition. They need help with transportation and replacing Birth Certificates needed for housing applications and school. No organizations have funding at this time. Any donation you may make would be greatly appreciated. We are requesting 2, 31-days bus pass, assistance replacing 1 Birth Certificate (fees $80 for grandmother born in New York). I am submitting a request for a single mom of five children ( 6months, 2yrs, 4yrs, 6yrs, and 8 yrs old). She needs financial assistance to pay a daycare balance of $378. Also, she needs help with paying one week once the daycare balance is cleared. The weekly payment is $160 a week for the kids. She needs this help so that the kids can be in school so she can work. Once she starts working she can pay the daycare after the first week. She is not able to work because she's home taking care of the kids due to her balance at the daycare.
