We have a mother of an infant and two teenagers, all females who are currently homeless. They were forced to leave their previous living conditions quickly and could not gather many of their belongings. Mainly belonging to the mother and the infant. They are working with local agencies and have temporary housing at this time, but they need numerous items to get assistance in the month of December until the mother can locate daycare and employment. We hope that assisting with these items will allow the family to remain local and keep them warm in the winter months. The family needs 2-3 cans of Similac Total Comfort (the purple can), size 3 diapers, and wipes. The clothing request would be 7 size 9 mos: outfits and a winter coat for the infant. One of the teens is a female wearing size 3/5 in Junior's pants or size small in leggings and is requesting 3 pairs of pants and 3 shirts in a size small adult. The other female is a size 7 in Juniors or a size small in leggings and is requesting 3 pairs of pants/leggings and 3 shirts in a size medium. Mother is a size 5 in Juniors and is requesting 5 pairs of pants or leggings which would be a size small and 5 tops is a size medium.

Mother recently got a new job that is a position for as needed and therefore not consistent. Her previous position was also an as needed position but she had not gotten any work in about 3 weeks. With this new position, mother will be making more per hour when she does work and is looking for another flexible employment option for the times that she does not. Mother is currently in need of help with her rent and a few other outstanding bills for this month until she begins receiving paychecks for the new job. Mother would also be interested in working with a faith based organization as a job when she is not doing the as needed position.

Single mom needs furniture before her son can be released from a major university hospital at which he's scheduled for a bone marrow transplant. He suffers a rare genetic immunodeficiency disease. The boy's father refinanced the house to provide new flooring (sterile environment) but the family has no funds left for furniture. All the old furniture had to be thrown away due to risk of dust, dander and mold. All furniture must now be hard-surface and able to be sterilized. They need a desk, a desk chair, a recliner, end tables, a coffee table and a corner TV stand. All used furniture has to come from a smoke-free, pet-free home and not mildewed due to risk of infection for the boy.

Family of three adults and nine children are behind on the electric bill. They had to divert funds from utilities to purchasing kerosene as their landlady refuses to fix the rental home's heating system. The total due is $1,200 but a payment of $495 by Dec. 11 will avoid shutoff. They have utilized all local agencies for aid this year. They cannot apply for crisis assistance until January 1, 2024, from the local Dept. of Social Services.

A struggling family is living in a small trailer, there are three adults and 9 children living in a 2 bedroom trailer. More beds are needed for the children. One of the children said, that all he wants for Christmas is a bed because all of his older sisters sleep in one bed and he sleeps on the floor. A full over full bunkbed would really help this family out, so all the kids will have a bed to sleep in.
***the system does not allow for a full over full bed to be chosen please note that a full over FULL is needed.

Mother and her three children are currently at risk of losing their housing and vehicle unless they can get their rent and car payment paid. The rent is $1220. The car payment is $330 Mother recently acquired a new job and is exploring alternative housing options so that this issue does not continue. This mother has done the best she absolutely can and did not deserve to go through the struggles that she has been faced with in the previous few months. Once a family of five is now a family of four and this mother is doing all that she can to ensure her children do not have to lose or suffer anymore. Even if multiple churches could come together and donate some money towards the rent and car as a community rather than one taking on the whole need, anything would help.

am currently working with a kinship caregiver who is raising her cousins, ages 11 and 14. The family was served by CarePortal previously, however, the connection was unable to support her needs at the time. The family is now in need of some additional support. Recently, after previous belief that she would be unable to drive, she discovered some unpaid taxes on her vehicle when she believed that a prospective buyer had paid them. Now, she has decided to keep the car, but because of the remaining balance, a stop has been put on her license. This means that she will be unable to renew her registration this month, and if she were to drive it, her car could be towed. She would really appreciate someone who could cover the cost of the taxes and accrued fees, so that the family will have reliable transportation. Due to her disability and the chronic pain that comes with it, the caregiver has been unable to work and is on a fixed income. Therefore, she is finding it difficult ot cover these unexpected costs. Thank you for your dedication to serving the family however you are able!

Aunt has recently taken in her teenage nephew. He came to her suddenly and with very few of his own things. The family is working very hard to create a safe, comfortable, welcoming space for him. They are in need of a bed (mattress, box spring and simple frame- any size) so he has his own place to get quality sleep. They are also seeking assistance with rebuilding his wardrobe. They have utilized the clothing closets in the community but have had difficulty finding everything he needs at this time. If possible, they feel it would be helpful if he can choose some clothing for himself. They are hoping for a bench to add to their kitchen table to accommodate the addition to their family so everyone can sit together for meals. The family would also appreciate any assistance towards Christmas gifts as this was another unexpected expense they are trying to meet.
